MrsJohnMurphy Posted 17 January 2013 Posted 17 January 2013 With all this snow forecast over the next couple of days, I'm taking the kids (5 & 9) sledging. Anyone know of any good hills? I used to go Western Park as a kid and Bradgate might be a bit extreme for a 5 year old is there anywhere else locally?

KingPowerLCFC1884 Posted 17 January 2013 Posted 17 January 2013 if you go to Woodhouse Eaves there is a hill on Birdhil Road which is ridiculous. it is the steepest hill you even did see, i didnt have a sled at the time so went down in a bathtub i found at the top.

I'm not sure what it's like these days as Croft Hill is quickly disappearing. It's pretty steep in places. There are some 'new' hills that have gone up using the quarry waste &they could be more suitable.
