Ric Flair Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 He was divorced after being knicked for threatening to kill his missus and her family wasn't he? Was he? Good lord, never knew that. I always thought Collymore was destined for the loony bin once he left us. I'm actually surprised he's sorted his life out. As a footballer i've never seen anyone so talented, his actions as a man go a long way to be desired. However, he's not wasting his life now that he's been given a chance in the media. Fair play for him for doing that. I listen to his show a fair bit and he's one of the more knowledgable reporters compared to some of the dross employed.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 That wasnt really that funny, thought it was goingto be an arguement between them not a one liner.

That's the thing for me, he's done a lot of shit that can't be condoned and he may have gotten off light with it for being a footballer but you can't deny he's making an effort to put it behind him and make somet of himself. I won't mock anyone who's trying to better themselves.
Corky Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Stan's never hidden away from it either, or denied it, he's admitted his mistakes and is trying to get on with his life. He's done shows on Talksport where he and his co-presenter have gone in-depth about the issues he's had.
The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 I won't mock anyone who's trying to better themselves. You mock me sometimes and I'm trying to both lose weight and learn 5 Spanish words a day.

I agree, I think people deserve a chance to turn things around and I'm glad he is managing to do that and understands that he was completely wrong in the past
Ric Flair Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 The man has done a hell of a lot of good work for raising the awareness of depression in this country and for that reason alone he's earnt back a bit of respect.

The People's Hero Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 ¿Donde esta la biblioteca? Suba la calle, a la derecha.
Haydos Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 ¿Donde esta la biblioteca? Just 'cause it needs more love.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Just 'cause it needs more love. exactly the thing that popped into my head!
Ozwin Posted 21 January 2013 Author Posted 21 January 2013 Jesus Finnegan cheer up a bit, christ. It's the brutality that's funny, the sheer cheek of it all.

How sheltered are you? It's just tame and predictable, he's probably heard it a million times before. He didn't even react, he just cut the caller off and carried on after a slight pause. If anything, I'd say he completely "rinsed" the prank caller by not getting angry or flustered. Complete professionalism, makes the silly, chav twit look like a silly, chav twit.
Guest Bilo Posted 21 January 2013 Posted 21 January 2013 Agree with those saying Collymore didn't get 'rinsed,' 'pwned' or that it was 'top bants.' Unimaginative and the gag was inserted with all the smoothness and panache of a knife in the chest, crap banter.

Finnegan Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 Your admiration of a woman abusing bully is astonishing! You're right, I'm sorry, I should be throwing a victory party for the braindead, Cockney coward that opted to take the piss anonymously over the radio.
purpleronnie Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 I agree, its such a boring obvious pre-planned response that I'm surprised people actually find it funny. But hey each to their own and all that.

Actually agree with you there, is very cowardly to do it like that. He barred me from following his twitter account for asking him if he had beat up any more white women lately after he kept on whinging about racism, least I had the balls to show him my face when doing it. But like others have said, I'm very uncomfotable with what he does now iven his horrific past.
21st Century Fox Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 He hit Ulrika because she was white!!!?
James. Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 There's a lot I would question about that post from MattP including the bizarre link between domestic abuse and racism. Something else I have my doubts about is quite how much "balls" it takes to use social media to have a go at someone.

Something else I have my doubts about is quite how much "balls" it takes to use social media to have a go at someone. More than it does over the phone, at least on that he can see your face, name and where you live.
