If he did it and lived a life out of the public eye I suppose there is just cause for criticising people that go out of their way to mention it. He didn't choose that life. He chose a life where he has forced his way into the public eye. It's to be expected. He did something people don't like and they have every right to poke at him. FWIW I neither condone or condemn the caller, it's to be expected.

If that's the height of wit, humour or "banter" for anyone then Christ I worry for you. Not saying it's right or wrong that Collymore is a public face, not defending him or condoning the fact he's been caught up in two high profile cases of partner abuse. But that's hardly confronting him with it, is it? And not really the medium to do it anyway.
