Should I stop supporting Cov and Come over to the dark side?

Have you asked your fellow Cov fans about this, I know it will be hard to find one who can have adult conversation with but give it a try.

You cant change clubs once you've picked one. Its just not right!

You can have soft spots for other clubs though, I think thats allowed! Since going to the Torquay V Leicester game earlier in the season i'll hold my hands up and admit I went to 3 Torquay home games and loved it. Small club, friendly fans, decent(ish) football and it was a decent laugh whilst I was living down this way. And yeah I do keep a bit of an eye out now, would like them to get promoted.

I follow torquay and have done for years. Due to relatives down there. Go a few times a season. Even been wembley with them and go away when they are up here. Mainly an excuse to get new grounds in.

Jobber goes cheltenham after our l1 season but it's hardly like deciding to go follow the sheep or the f-word. Or even villa.

It would be like a married man running off with the floozy down the road .

A few months later he'd see his missus out on the town with a bit of make-up, new hairstyle , new clothes and a stone lighter and want to go running back to her again.

Exactly, why bother splitting hairs between two mouldy old slappers when there's supermodels around who are more than willing to accommodate

As much as I hate the sky Blum scum I think you should stick by your team no matter what I'd still support my team even if they ended up in the confrence

Easy to say

The way I see it - the day Cov do something (I'm sure you'll become relatively decent again) is the day you'll realise how utterly ridiculous this is.

If you started supporting us, no matter how well we did, you wouldn't seriously enjoy it.

I can sort of see both sides to this one.

On the one hand, I don't really buy into the 'pick your club and stick with it' argument, as a lot of people pick their club as a young kid without giving it any thought. I wouldn't discourage glory grabbers from wanting to start following their local club instead. Why should anyone be punished for a stupid choice they made as an misguided child?

On the other hand, who's to say that Cov won't be in a better position than us a few years down the line? The op would definitely regret swapping clubs should Cov get any glory.

If you are genuinely disillusioned with financial mis-management at Coventry, why not go to a few Bedworth Town games, or maybe Nuneaton, even Hinckley would be glad of your gate money. If you just want to support a team that wins stuff then why not pick Man United or Chelsea, or maybe Barcelona or Bayern Munich. You can watch those games on TV, or pretend you do whilst actually watching Eastenders and X-Factor. There's plenty of merchandise for you to spend your money on too . Have a nice time.

Anyone remember that bloke in the Mercury in the early 90s who stopped watching City and started going to watch Forest instead?

That worked out well for him, didn't it?

Love the idea that switching to Leicester is like some kind if glory supporting! Cov or us, basically you're swapping one lifetime of misery and anguish for another, with a handful of joyous highs thrown in. Take your pick, it's not like you're moving to Barcelona.

I didn't I asked why I should support Leicester.......nob.

You're still a nob, what the fvck made you come on this forum of all forums? Crawl back to league one and enjoy the standard of football you watch.

WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE.
