Leicester Lass Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Kasper 5 Should have prevented the goal. Nearly got us into trouble on a couple of occasions too. De Laet 7 Thought he was playing well until the injury. Got forward well but was just clumsy in possession. Created our best chance of the game for himself. Just hope it's not too bad an injury. Morgan 6 Not bad overall, even he looks devoid of confidence though. Some uncharacterstic mistakes slipping into his game. Keane 7 Pick of the back 4. Another steady performance. Schlupp 5 Not the best. Understandable given he's not trained with us for so long. Some decent defending at times though. Marshall 3 Woeful. Set pieces all went straight to Kirkland, don't understand taking some left footed. General play was awful too. Drinkwater 5 So one paced, slowed the game down too much. Untidy performance. King 5 Genuinely didn't notice him that much, don't have much to say. Kane 4 Really poor, but let's be honest, there's no way he should be playing on the left wing. Pearson has questions to answer about that. Missed a glorious headed chance. Wood 4 Terrible. No effort made for 90% of the balls aimed at him today. Ball is bouncing off him at the minute. No good. Nugent 5 Worked pretty hard but spent lots of time moaning at the ref instead of persisting. Serious lack of form from him at the minute. Knocakert 6 Tried to make things happen. Corners were infinitely better than Marshall's. bit greedy though. Gallagher 6 Did a job, couple of decent balls in the box. Would rather see him a bit more than Marshall at the minute. St Ledger 6 Good to see him back. Couple of decent tackles but other than that had no time to get into the game.
Col city fan Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 My honest ratings: Kasper.. 5.. His kicking sometimes is a fookin liability. And nearly cost us a goal DeLaet.. 7... The fact that our right back had the best chance of a goal speaks volumes Morgan...7... Pearsons best signing Keane....7... This lads gonna be top quality Schlupp... 6... Going forward looked good. Defensively remains shaky. Marshall... 3... Fookin woeful Kane.... 2.... Possibly one of the worst halves I've seen from a City player in recent times. Why play him left mid? King... 5... Usual self Drinky... 5... Rarely passes forward Wood... 3..... Shadow of the player he was a month ago Nugent...3.... Not an happy bunny at the mo. kingfox Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Schmeichel 5 - Could of done better with the goal De Laet 6 - Good at times, poor at times Morgan 7 - One of our better players Keane 6 - Reasonable in parts Schlupp 6 - Like De Laet, some good stuff, defensively caught a few times Marshall 5 - Poor poor poor deliveries Drinkwater 4 - Slows everything down, and let Sheffield Wed get behind the ball King 6 - Not in the game much, but when on the ball he did well Kane 3 - Not a winger Nugent 5 - Tried and tried, but to no prevail Wood 3 - This guy meant to be good or something? Subs Knockaert 4 - Greedy very very greedy Gallagher 4 - Did nothing much St Ledger 10 - Only player not to put a foot wrong
Bertie Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Not at the game so can't comment but we seem to forget schullp is not a left back he's a striker that's where Man U have been playing him so maybe we should give him a chance
lcfcsnow Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Schmeichel 6 De laet 7.5 our only attacking threat, fantastic in the first half despite picking up a knock early on, if his injury is a bad one we really are in a mess Morgan 7 Keane 7 Schlupp 5 Marshall 3 sad to see but his confidence has completely gone Drinkwater 4 worse than wellens in this form King 3 garbage, we'll get nowhere persisting with king, his impact on games has been minimal for the last 2 years, if he doesn't offer a goal threat then you haven't got much left. Kane 3 what is he doing playing a striker who has no pace as a winger? we blatently needed another option out wide due to our other 3 wingers being out of form, so what does he do, buy a striker and plays him out of position. genius pearson. it's like having two andy king's in midfield, he has no impact whatsoever. Wood 2 worst performance from a striker i can remember since mark de vires. at least howard could hold the ball up, how can the ball bounce off him, every single time? Nugent 5 another poor performance but at least he tried
SWFC_FAN Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 I thought Morgan your centre back was solid and by far your best player on the day. Marshall thankfully didn't come back to haunt us, really didn't trouble us one bit and Knockaert wasn't as effective as I thought he was going to be. Same goes for Chris Wood. Too many good players underperformed for you today and that is not a good sign. Although Kirkland made a couple of good saves. Which Wednesday players stood out for you? Always interesting to get an opposing fans viewpoint.

cal21212121 Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Kasper - 5 - Kept aiming at Nugent and should have done better for the goal De Laet - 6 - Fairly average, had our best chance of the game, also at fault for the goal Morgan - 7 - Tank as usual Keane - 8 - Very composed on the ball, shame no one else was Schlupp - 7 - Took a while to settle down, better second half Marshall - 6 - Looked better on the right than on the left Drinkwater - 3 - Absolutely woeful second half, gave De Laet a hospital ball (quite literally) King - 8 - Very sound performance, unlucky hitting the post Kane - 4 - Kept hoofing to no one Nugent - 6 - Ran like hell but couldn't kick the ball Wood - 5 - Completely non-existant Gally - 5 - Barely touched the ball Knockaert - 5 - Looked better when he was passing as oppose to taking on the world St Ledger - 5 - One good tackle, however dropped Kasper in the sh*t on one occasion
Simmo86 Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Kasper 5 Should of stopped their goal De Laet 6 Created decent chance for himself. Defending was a bit off Morgan 5 Going the same way as the team...backwards Keane 7 Solid Schlupp 6 Nice to have him back Marshall 2 Nothing came of for him Drinkwater 2 Turning into Wellens MK2. Crab King 6 Tried to make things happen Kane 2 Should have scored. Not a winger. Good management Wood 3 Touch of a donkey. Useless outside the box Nugent 3 Waste of space Subs Knockaert 3 Wasted on the wing. Nothing came off Gally 3 Waste of space. Not going to change the game in your favour St Ledger N/A Pearson 0 Dinosaur. 4-4-2 lads, 4-4-2! Swap a winger for a winger
Swarles Barkley Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Kasper 6 made a few mistakes but Recovered. Should have done better with the goal De laet 7 very good going forward. One of the few players that actually played well Morgan 6 standard morgan performance Keane 6 won his headers. Tackled well Schlupp 7 very good going forward. Played well seeing how hes only just come back Marshall 4 couldnt cross his arms never mind the ball. Awful Drinkwater 5 poor from him. Passing was atrocious King 6 didnt do anything in defence didnt do anything in attack better than drinks though Kane 4 striker not a BLOODY WINGER Wood 4 didnt get the service. Heading was awful Nugent 4 doesnt stop running. Shame he cant do anything with the ball Knockaet 6 looked a threat coming on. Tries to do too much Gallagher 0 the less the said the better. Complete utter rubbish
acooling08 Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Morgan, Keane, De Laet and King were our best. Marshall (You can have him back SW), Kane (Why play him there Nige?) and Wood were especially poor. As for Wednesday, they had a few marauding strong black players who were brilliant. Antonio I think especially looked good.
Fox92 Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Kasper 5 - Kicking was poor (usual), and looked like the ball went under his body. De Laet 6 - Got forward well but not sure where he was for the goal. Keane 7 Morgan 7 Schlupp 6 Marshall 6 King 6 Drinkwater 5 - Slowed the game down Kane 5 - Out of position though Wood 6 - Never seemed to beat his man Nugent
Guesty Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Kasper - 5: Why does he always aim his goal kicks to Nugent. Nearly cost a goal when he should have cleared it first time, but did make up for it. DeLaet - 6: Didn't get forward as much as usual. Will be a big miss if his injury is a bad. Morgan - 5:There were times he tried to do too much and should have just cleared it, but to be fair the movement infront of him is non-existent. Nearly cost us a goal. Keane - 7:Good, dependable. Schlupp - 5: Often out of position and couldn't win a header. Wasn't helped by having Kane infront who clearly didn't have a clue who to track. Marshall - 3:Rubbish, but at least he tries to find openings instead of passing the ball sideways 10 yards. Awful set-pieces. King - 4: Didn't really do much apart from all this unseen stuff he always does. Don't think he compliments Drinky well enough. Drinkwater - 4: Everytime he got the ball he slowed it all down, then just passed sideways 10 yards, but had little movement infront of him. Think he needs a solid DCM to win the ball and free him up a bit. Kane - 2: Don't particularly blame him, obviously not a winger. Doesn't know how to defend the position and has no pace. Nugent - 5: Ran around a lot tried to make something happen and won a few headers from goal- kicks. Wood - 4: First touch is awful sometimes and offered pretty much nothing all game. No movement. Knockeart - 5: Looked slightly dangerous but is becoming a player whose easy to defend because you know he'll try to take you on and not pass. Gallagher - 5: Barely got to touch the ball so wasn't poor or bad. Showed how bad our bench is when you look at it and out of all of them he's the only one who could change things with a wonder goal. Pearson - 2: Kane was rubbish on the wing on Tues and was even worse today. Need a plan B. Why when we're losing 1-0 with 5 mins to go and our right back gets injured bother putting St Ledger on? Might as well have chucked on a forward and gone for it.
Guest ttfn Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Schmeichel 5 - Solid enough for 90% of the game but could have done more with the goal and his distribution was awful. It's a facet of his game which has gone backwards rapidly over the last year. De Laet 7 - Got caught out once or twice early on, thereafter was one of our biggest attacking threats and sound enough defensively. Morgan 7 - Lita gave him a really tough time today but as usual he did well. Keane 6 - Don't see what the fuss is about. Played fine. Schlupp 4 - Not a left back. Caught out repeatedly by Antonio. Unsurprisingly was much better going forward. Marshall 7 - Our best player. A couple of great crosses that should have been buried. Was taking corners with his left foot as well, which was bloody ridiculous. Drinkwater 4 - Wellens mk II. Holds the ball for way too long, allowing the (limited) movement ahead of him to fizzle out. He's been very poor for six weeks now. King 6 - Did fine. Should have scored with his header that hit the post. Kane 3 - Pathetic. Looked like a competition winner. Wood 3 - See Kane. Nugent 3.5 - See Kane/Wood. That cross at the end just summed our day up. Extra half a point for facking rannin about a bit. Another shit performance. Would be surprised if Pearson was here at the end of the season.

Munshi Posted 9 March 2013 Share Posted 9 March 2013 Kasper 6 Made a few decent saves, kicking was a bit off. RDL 6 Got forward and was our biggest attacking threat Keane 7 Our best player, Did his job. Morgan 6 Okay, won his headers. Schlupp 5 Should have got forward more, defended okay. Marshall 3 Absolutely poor, gave the ball away, Most of the his set pieces went straight into kirklands hands. Drinkwater 3 Slowed the game down everytime we could have got forward. For me he's the reason the midfield and attack didnt link up. King 5 Eh Kane 3 Wasnt completely his fault, wasted on the wing. Nugent 6 Did all the usual running, Looked like he actually wanted the ball. Wood 3 Llera made his him look shit. Lost most of the headers and gave the ball away. When did King hit the post? Someone hit the post from a corner, probably him.

RDL 6 - Was having a good game until he got hacked. Schlupp 5 - skinned a few times but an improvement on Lloyd. Keane 7 - Won pretty much every aerial battle. Morgan 6 - a couple of mistakes today but still stands out. Marshall 3 - pathetic after some recent positive performances. Drinkwater 3 - Slowed us down so much. Picked the wrong pass a few times. King 5 - one of his "did he play" games. Kane 5 - clearly not a winger. Wood 2 - Abysmal. Can't imagine if Beckford had've put that performance in how some fans would've reacted. Nugent 7 - worked his bollocks off. Knockaert 6 - looked like he could make something happen. Gally 6 - got slated for whipping a ball in the box what no-one attacked. Tidy, composed.
