SmithyFox12 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Travel prices are the only thing stopping me going to this
Leicesterpool Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Travel prices are the only thing stopping me going to this It maybe cheaper coming via Nuneaton and then get on a london midland you could save a fortune.
lestajigs Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Good prices, should sell this out to be honest For you maybe, £26 for a adult isn't the cheapest,
Libertine Dream Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Does anyone know if its worth getting an Oyster Card. Does it make the London away days cheaper or not, I do go to London fairly often as well so Is it worth it over a travelcard each time I go?
Ford Super Sunday Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 Does anyone know if its worth getting an Oyster Card. Does it make the London away days cheaper or not, I do go to London fairly often as well so Is it worth it over a travelcard each time I go? Last time I looked into it a travelcard was £8 per day standard, and £7.70 with an Oyster Card, that's for off-peak 1-4 all day travel. So I guess it's worth it over the extreme long term if it was a 1-4 card you wanted each time. Someone more London-centric could flesh that out though I'm sure.

LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 For you maybe, £26 for a adult isn't the cheapest, That's cheap to be honest than all the other teams and considering it's london! Big game, should be a sell out for the home and away fans
Dan Posted 8 April 2013 Posted 8 April 2013 £26 isn't really cheap at all. It's not disgraceful but it's not cheap.

You have to pay a deposit when you get the Oyster card, but you get that back when you hand it in. Worth it in the long term if you're a regular London goer.

JonnyBoy Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 I thought an Oyster Card was pay as you go? why is it called an Oyster card anyone know?
Libertine Dream Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 why is it called an Oyster card anyone know? I thought it was to do with the phrase 'the world is your oyster'. Probably completely wrong
Father Ted Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 First time doing a London awayer by train... Which route are people taking from Leicester?
Bert Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 From Leicester you'll go direct to Pancras unless you go Leics - Nuneaton - Euston. From London you can get the tube to Victoria and then the train to Thornton Heath.

Out Foxed Posted 9 April 2013 Posted 9 April 2013 I thought an Oyster Card was pay as you go? not only, you can buy weekly/monthly
The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 April 2013 Posted 10 April 2013 Undecidied whether to go for this due to £
MC Prussian Posted 10 April 2013 Posted 10 April 2013 I'll be there - my only away day this season. Yes, I'm such a PAP.
Jiggers the Fox Posted 10 April 2013 Posted 10 April 2013 Sorted 2 tickets for this. Normally Palace is the only game I bother using Fox Travel but it does my head in, so Stanmore and train it is!
