Got some family near there and they always say Salbeh. Can't bring myself to say it as it spelt Silly-bee, so I compromise and say Silby.

Can anyone clear this up please?

I always thought it was pronounced Sigh-Al-Be?

Mine are the same.. and they dont even consider that its not Beaver... thats just how its spelt according to them
