After going yesterday I have to say i really enjoyed it,3 points would of been ideal but as a day out it was great.Standing outside the pub before kick off in the sun was long overdue.Outside the away end gave me a proper football feeling, love that type of ground. If all games could be like that I wouldnt care which division we were in.

Good day out and at least we didn't lose! I thought Konchesky was very good (MOM), ahead of King; I'm not a big fan of him, but he dealt with the threat of Zaha made him look average for his new price tag! King got stuck in more and it showed, than to previous games. De Laet had a poor game, I'm not big on him defending.

Still wondering how Schlupp blazed that shot over the bar from like 6 yards out!

After today's result Bolton is the obvious threat (more than Forest IMO), we HAVE to beat Watford ... I can see Bolton slipping up to Cardiff next week.

Think a draw was a fair result, with us possibly edging it. Both teams defending were awful. I have to say, I thought Palace were average (for they are in the league).

Morning.

Reading through the thread there's not too much I disagree with. In general I feel a draw was the right result for a game that was played like a cup tie. Both teams had chances to win, notibly for us Wibraham heading against the bar.

I thought you did a good job of nullifying Zaha who at times showed his class but seemed most of the time he couldn't be bothered to get involved.

Well done to your away fans, very good support & I liked the touch with the smoke bombs but you didn't hear me say that ;)

So all in all, an open game between two nervous teams & good luck with the rest of the season. We owe you a play off final rematch, if only it could happen!

There is a hell of a lot of potential in this side, but we simply haven't reached it this season and even if we do get the play-offs, does anyone seriously think we've got the character to win them?

If we get promoted I will be simply stunned.

This. Does anyone seriously expect us to beat two top 6 sides over 3 matches? Never going to happen.

Agree with your comments Youth team and hope the play off final comes true. For me I think we will have to draw or win at Forest and they will beat us Aguero style in the last minute. We haven't beaten them at their ground in the league since the Birch in '71 and I can't see it changing. Neither Forest or us will make the playoffs imo. Top six now will remain top six.

Well that was probably the best game I've been to this season.

We've certainly played better, but in the context of our last few performances (at least the ones I've seen - I missed Bolton) that was really encouraging.

Both sides looked shaky defensively, as you'd expect given their recent runs, but going forward there was a lot of class on display. Dobbie's set piece deliveries and goal for them were excellent, whilst for us Wood put in the sort of physical performance we've been looking for from him.

I thought that the game was refereed well, with the exception of an absolutely bonkers booking for Andy King towards the end of the first half.

Yet again, it was King that drove the team forward. His performances in the last 2-3 weeks have been of the order that who had his undoubted potential a couple of years back should be putting in every single week at this level. He was absolutely everywhere, and his goal was absolutely vintage King.

But overall it was a solid team performance. There was nobody out there who deserved less than a 5/10 or more than an 8/10. We look like a lot more of a unit now than we did a few weeks ago, and recent performances have further put into perspective the utter dirge we saw for the 6-8 weeks preceding them.

On Pearson - I felt that he should have gone after the Derby game if we were going to try to resurrect the season. It seemed apparent that he had no idea how to turn the form around, as it turned out in the short term when we lost miserably to Millwall and Barnsley over Easter. But the last three games have been much, much better and far closer to the level of performance that we not only require to be promoted, but that we have consistently demonstrated we're capable of achieving. Regardless of what happens in these last 2 games, I want to see him get another season with this group of players. Whether that is considered by the Thais to be a risk too far will be borne out in the course of time, but I do think he has what it takes to get us up.

It will be an absolutely crying shame if we don't make the play-offs given some of the football we've played this season. There is absolutely no way that we're not one of the top six sides in the division, and to see the likes of Brighton comfortably ensconced in the play-off positions by default is pretty galling.

I know it's all ifs, buts and maybes, but we've thrown away 8 points (and gained 1) in the last 3 minutes of games in the last 8 weeks. With those in the bag we'd already have a play-off place secured. So even after the crap football we've seen over a sustained period, we really would be bloody unlucky not to make it.

Just seen the FLS show highlights and I have to say this again, why was Keane so deep there?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Absolutely schoolboy and just inviting the pressure. And why did they not show any of our chances? Wood's free kick? Schlupp skying it? Knockaert cutting in numerous occasions.... Great bias there BBC.

It was a great game yesterday and to come back twice from a deficit shows a lot of morale. It also shows that our defense is really susceptible to dumb errors lately. Up until a few weeks ago, we had one of the most settled back four. And now we've conceded six goals in three games. That's shambolic.

Defending set pieces has become some sort of a bad habit, as well as clearing balls out of our own box quickly enough (although I have to say, we did well to clear the ball at Palace).

The atmosphere at Selhurst Park was electric and I think we more than just outsung the home support, who had to rely on constant and monotonous drumming and a few sparse chants from their main stand. The fans really acted as the twelfth man, great stuff.

The rest of the stadium was eerily quiet. Getting to the place is a story in itself and I can't believe Palace haven't invested more of their money into the infrastructure. Wooden seats and the constant feeling that something big could crash any given moment made it a somewhat special experience.

Back to the game. I think we bossed Palace for most part and neutralized Zaha effectively. Apart from James' own header that Schmeichel had to parry, the home side hardly ever threatened and we pretty much took their swing out of the game.

What I didn't like at the beginning of the match was the lack of involvement from our midfield. It felt like an eternity before King, James, Dyer or Knockaert had a touch of the ball.

I'll put Palace's first down to bad marking and bad defending. When a guy like Gabbidon, who tends to find the opposing net once every two years, scores against you, you know you've done something wrong.

King's equalizer was a joy to the eye of the beholder. Also, the build-up was fantastic. The team showed a gutsy performance to make up for the earlier mistake.

We rarely allowed Palace to be effective enough and had more chances in the second half. Who was the guy who hit the ball straight over Speroni's wide-open goal? Schlupp?

Palace's second lead came out of nowhere and put a bit of a dent into my enthusiasm. But I do have to applaud the team for coming back once again and I salute Wood for earning us a deserved point away from home.

On a sidenote, I found Pearson's two late substitutions a bit irritating. Surely you want to freshen things up earlier in the second half?

All in all, a promising result and fan support of the finest. Now I'm not saying that we will make the playoffs, but we can. Because the attitude's right again.

Bring on Watford and F"çst away - if we manage to hold on to a lead and keep it tight in the back, we will succeed.

Results haven't gone our way, but I would of taken a draw at the start of the day.

Positive

We still have a massive chance, a point is better than none

Chris Wood scored again

Negatives

Results didn't really go our way

We had a great amount of shots on target

Going by comments the defence seemed shaky

We have done incredibly well against Watford at the King Power in the past, but this season they are a whole different outfit. It will be harder than past times, but I still rate our chances with a win.

Last week most of the results went our way, this week most didn't. Who knows what will happen, we are still in the mix, lets enjoy the ride rather be in our position than teams like wolves, Peterborough etc.....COYB....

One word on the fans - far more like it. Strong numbers, pretty much all stood, very vocal for the majority of it.

It's a shame we're not like that more often.

So why have we conceded so few goals then?

I agree that in the last 15 games we have looked very poor defensively. Set pieces today were an absolute shambles. But let's not forget that, in spite of conceding 2 in 4 of the last 5 games, we've still got one of the best records in the league.

OK, average was probably harsh, but I'm not convinced by it at all. Our set pieces have been shambolic for most of the season, and have been for the last few years. Morgan is literally the only defender I'd rate as good enough for a top 6 chasing side. Keane is good, but we've reached a point where we're extremely reliant on a 19 year old, and he's shown he's got faults to his game.

The full-backs are poor defenders as well. Konchesky's gone well off the boil, De Laet can attack very well but he's not a defender.

We've conceded few goals because we don't absolutely crumble like a lot of sides. We often come up short, but don't absolutely crumble.

I also think Schmeichel's a big reason. Lets not forget to include him alongside Morgan as one of the best in the league at what he does.

You may not have noticed but we very nearly did just beat two top six sides.

I don't expect anything, but it's not impossible by any stretch.

Thought it was pretty lively yesterday. Watching an exciting game helped I imagine.

I always enjoy it when a smoke bomb goes off, usually a good laugh.

Weren't it two?

Anyway, the bomb(s) smelt like sh*t.

Yeah two. And yes they don't smell great but it's not that bad, you can live through it.

Really adds to the atmosphere IMO, makes it a more fun away end to be in somehow. Gives that hardcore feel to it.

Agreed about the smokes. Always add to the atmosphere even if they don't make noise.

Seem to be popping up all over the country. Liverpool cannot go a goal without one away from home lol I expect more at Forest.
