Dan Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 AWWWW!! BIG LOVE, DANNY-BOY, BIG LOVE!!! XXXX Don't embarrass yourselves in the top flight like last time (although I'd imagine you'll struggle to be that embarrassing again)

foxfanazer Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Wow these Watford fans really are a deluded bunch! Bet we won't hear from them again if we win tonight. Actually hope Hull go up now, which is something I thought I'd never say
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Can people stop worrying about tonight please. We will win.. Stop worrying. The score will be two-one to City. And it will go down to the Forest game to see whether we are in the play offs or not. 'Mr. Pessimistic' (according to some of you plonkers on here) is confident today.

foxfanazer Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 You want HULL to go up? Not before these Watford/udinese b fans came in here. Now I do.Would be nice to see hull go back down without a victory though

Rusko187 Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 I see your point, preferably I'd rather neither of them go up but saying that as the years go on I'm beginning to have a reduced list of teams I'd be happy with to do well. Can people stop worrying about tonight please. We will win.. Stop worrying. The score will be two-one to City. And it will go down to the Forest game to see whether we are in the play offs or not. Dan Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Why do our fans get upset when we get given a load of stick? We're the pits of a club in most eyes because let's be honest we under achieve year after year. I hate the arrogance of our fans, we should be embarrassed as to how crap we've been over the last ten years. Mocking Watford who are a lot smaller than us but have had more success in that period and not spunked nigh on £50 million on a shower of shit is a bit cringeworthy if you ask me. Until we flex our financial muscle in the right manner and prove that we're a big club at this level then we're banged to rights. Watford may have bought 135 players in on loan from Italy and Spain but look at the wedge we rinsed on the likes of Curtis Davies, Vitor, Michael Lamey, Ricardo, Naughton, Van Aanholt, Bruma, Diomansy Kamara, Yakubu, Vassell, Bednar, Yuki Abe, Waghorn and then on Michael Johnson, Matt Mills, Beckford, John Pantsil, Konchesky, Michael Ball, Peltier, Neil Danns. All those supposed high profile players and yet didn't even make the play-off's either season? Embarrassing and if I supported another club then i'd find it piss funny. Take the abuse, have a bit of banter and a laugh but don't get all upset and irate because most of it's true!!! Having said that, Watford are a dog muck club that i've never particularly liked and we'll win tonight. Game on, can't wait for it. I hope to be celebrating as much as I did when Izzet nailed in that header in 1996. I've never ever once denied we've been embarrassing, I just find the attitude of some Watford fans on here to be sensational, absolutely no denying that.

Dan Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 can you please **** off back to your own forum....if you have one. WYS They've loaned one from Udinese.
Ric Flair Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 You know you are being pedantic here. What I mean is that your Club's income is x and your expenditure is x + £15m. So the club is living beyond it's means. But essentially, you are comfortable living off a Far Eastern multi-millionaire because he is entitled to spend his money where he wants! Will this be in keeping with the new FFP rules, or within the spirit of those rules? So I repeat, as not every club has a rich multi millionaire to fall back on, does this give you an unfair advantage, or not? I don't like it at all but what can we do? The Thai's have been here for 3 years now and seem to be in it for the long haul so at least that reassures the fans a little bit. Have we an unfair advantage over other clubs in this league with our spending power, yes if it's spent well. However, we've not spent well and we're fairly shit so if anything we're now at a disadvantage as we're over £50 million in debt with a huge wage bill and the FFP rule coming in soon. You've exploited the system well, but that's just as bad as what we're supposedly doing except the dangers to your club are less. I'd not be overly keen on that happening at Leicester but if it got results then sadly that's all that matters these days. There's no prizes for having a nice family run club in this country anymore, maybe so in Germany but not here. Get the wedge out or don't bother. We're trying that but we ballsed it up royally under Sven.

leeleic Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Any thoughts on what the attendance could be tonight fella's? Hoping to make the journey up from Hertfordshire myself!
Corky Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 Good luck Leicester, you'll undoubtedly need it. Hope the happy clappers can spur you on to victory against the scumbag Udinese B Reserves Granada C. Hope your meathead manager can apply a bit of thought for once and make it an entertaining game - probably not though, take the suicidal approach. Seriously, who are these morons?
Benditlikevydra Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 The whole point is our owners clearly can afford it, otherwise said spending would not have occurred. Personally, I feel the owners are here to try and do something in the long term. The typical outsider's view of our club is that we've just wasted money on players which hasn't worked and we've got into a lot of debt for it. To an extent, that's correct. We've paid over the odds for average players (well most of them anyway) and have had no success from it. However, our owners have also invested in our facilities, bought the stadium and things like that. What's not to like with the whole Watford situation in a footballing sense is there's something that doesn't seem right about it. First of all, you shouldn't be allowed to have a team made up of loanees in the majority. Why the cap on the number of loanees doesn't apply to foreign loanees is beyond me. Also, when things like the transfer of Forestieri occur for a measly sum (or even for free? do feel free to correct me) that also worries me. At the end of the season, if you're promoted, what's going to happen? Are these players simply going to be transferred from Udinese or Granada for a small sum, or even for free, regardless of how much contract they have left? Obviously, at the moment everything Watford have done is, unbelievably, within the rules. So, it's fair enough. But, surely you realise the uproar around this means that something can't be fair in the way it's been done? I see that you and everyone else refuses to answer whether your method of funding gives you an unfair advantage. And that is because - it does. Not all clubs have a massively rich owner. It is also stupid to believe that it is morally more acceptable to move £100m of money about, from non football sources on the other side of the world to a football club in England , than it is for an owner to move his player assets about. It is no different to lending or giving money to Watford and them buying the players, which is what your owners have done. And of course, Leicester and every other Club can loan players from overseas, and many do, including Hull. So what we are doing is not unfair. So get off your high horse LCFC fans, there are some other fans that can maybe take the moral high ground here, but it isn't you lot.
Grewks Posted 26 April 2013 Posted 26 April 2013 What do you think the atmosphere will be like? After the performance of the fans against bolton (where IMO it was the best atmosphere since the mover from filbert street), how do you think the fans will perform tonight?? Hopefully this 'surprise' will spur the fans on in some way, as i know that the club is desperate to get the KOP full which suggests this is where the 'Surprise' is likely to take place. Just hope we don't sing for the first 30 seconds and then stop until either side scores a goal, we need to look at the positive impact the fans had after bolton scored, and after wood's penalty, as the roar which led to the dyer goal was immense. COYB

Dont get me wrong, I'm not having a go at Leicester, only that many fans are having a go at us on "moral" grounds. Remember we were also days away from admin last summer. We now are owned by people that used a short term solution with the loans, but in order to build a financially sustainable club in the Premiership, much as they have done with Udinese and Granada, very successfully.
