Watford At Home Pre Match Chat - Biggest Game In 3 Years

As a Watford fan, who hopes to win but does not expect to - the one thing you have to be aware of is that if you "go for it" as most of you seem to expect - we will muller you on the break - the reason that we have been caught out of late by lesser sides like Bristol Peterboro or Milwall is that they have not fallen into the trap of coming at us and let us hit them on the break -ask Leeds Brighton Birmingham or Hull - if you try and out football us you will come second and if you commit too much - you will come third!

2-1 to you i think - but if you try and hit us - 0-4 is possible

I hope you make the playoffs in 6th - we will finish 3rd and over 2 legs will get past you easily enough - I fear Bolton and Brighton - not you Forest or Palarse - we will beat them but the other 2 with momentum could be a problem.

Enjoy the game - all the pressure is on you and your manager is a bit thick so I suspect he will be all blood and thunder and that would be a terrible plan against us

Thought I'd just like to say, that as a fellow Watford fan, I think you're a childish p***k.

I wish to put on record that I have been to Watford and can categorically confirm it IS a sh1t hole and I wanted to go home!

Odd that. I was working in Watford for a month and can categorically say it's the best night out in Britain I've been to. Fanny everywhere any night of the week

Must've loaned in nightclubs from other parts of Britain

Incredible isn't it. Who'd have thought last summer that Hull City would be the only side of the three going for the autos that isn't 100% unbearable? I can't stand Hull but the Redbirds and this lot are even worse if you ask me.

AWWWW!! BIG LOVE, DANNY-BOY, BIG LOVE!!!

Just hope the fans get up for it.

The players commented about the positivity against bolton, and to me it seemed like its the best our atmosphere has been at the new ground.

Looking forward to the noise....the club just need to get the build up to the game right.

On William Hill right now City are evens and Watford are 11/4.

So if you have the view that the bookies are always right then it looks like we're on to a winner.

If you're a pessimist, shove it on as those aren't bad..

In all seriousness Grewks, how any Leicester fan could not be up for this game would mystify me......it's massive COYB :chant:

I can get 13/5 on watford and 12/5 the draw. Considering lumping 50 quid on each. Worst case is i walk away 70 quid up or we get 3 points

Is 3 points worth a 100 of my hard earned cash?

Absolutely detest Watford.

I hate their expoitation of the loan system

I hate how they've lost their identity as a respectable club with the takeover

I hate their pathetic "golden boys" crap

and I hate them as the son of a Luton Town fan

Well, you're clearly a complete knob.

if the Kop stands for 90 minutes i wlll sell myself

Let's say the Kop do stand for 90 minutes.....

Would they do it every game next season? - no.

If the fans can only get up for the big games, how can they expect the team to get up for the 'lesser' games.

IDK how they've managed to exploit this (huge) loop hole in the loan market, and carry on all season!

The FA/FL hadn't heard of the Pozzos I presume and expected them to take over an english based club..so had no rules in place to prevent such a "loop-hole"..

Would you trust them to enforce it anyway given some of the shoddy owners that have been allowed to come into clubs and ruin them?

Not that the Pozzos are doing that...they are somewhat preferable to the last owner - who was bankrupt and spent most of his time in charge calling off fan forums and talking a lot but doing very little!

it is strange to have so many players allowed but it fair to allow 5 domestic loan players?

Should there be a limit of 2/3 across the board?

Potentially more of a test of a manager to see what he can get out of his own squad maybe rather than relying on somebody from Man U or Arsenal which we've done in the past...

Well, you're clearly a complete knob.

He's posting on his own club's forum.

The definition of a complete knob, for me anyway, is a deathly dull troll who posts nonsense on other club's forums as a means of getting themselves noticed for the only time in their miserable day-to-day existence.

If anyone is undecided as whether they should come tonight then the answer is YES!

It's understandable that some might have money constraints or cannot physically get to the game, but if you're just watching on TV for the sake of it- don't.

Lets get in the Kop, sing until we have no voice left and lift these boys into the playoffs!

COME ON YOU BLUUUUES

This. I've noticed there are a few on here who don't attend on principal of ticket prices etc. Well please sod your principles for one night.

If you're local and choose to watch it on sky or down the pub you are, I'm afraid, a ****.

Not so bothered about them exploiting the loan system as that is how the rules have been written. I do think it's against the spirit of the rules though.

What I would like to know is what happened to the rules preventing ownership of more than one club so that transfers of a dubious nature between those clubs couldn't occur?
