Fox92 Posted 4 January 2014 Posted 4 January 2014 Still like Wellens, still think he offers something at this level. Came as a bit of a suprise reading he might be joining QPR, but what a move that would be for him! Got a lot of respect for the guy. I don't think Harry had got enough midfielders....Shaun Wright-PhilipsJermaine JenasJoey BartonGary O'NeilKarl HenryNiko KranjcarMatt PhilipsYossi BennayounJunior HoilettSamba Diakite Exactly what I was thinking. Also, hear him saying that he may need another striker? I know he has a few injured, but another striker? They've got the best squad in the division, still wanting to add to it, and many players who could play up front as well as midfield!
MC Prussian Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Lee Camp has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Bournemouth. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25604674
Dan Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Why are Forest & QPR so obsessed with signing players all the time?
RedHux Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Why are Forest & QPR so obsessed with signing players all the time? We are because that's how Billy thinks we'll get promoted and an instant excuse if we don't. QPR because 'arry is actually an awful manager whose tactical knowledge belongs in the 90s.
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Jay Emmanuel-Thomas is now on 18 for the season in a poor Brizzle City side....
NathanC93 Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Andy Reid has signed a new two-and-a-half year deal with #NFFC More to follow. If Forest can offer new contracts, while they've also spent money in the summer, you would have thought we could!
cjslcfc Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Andy Reid has signed a new two-and-a-half year deal with #NFFC More to follow. If Forest can offer new contracts, while they've also spent money in the summer, you would have thought we could! They're completely gambling on FFP. We are trying to work within it. Also, I imagine some contracts are far too high for the championship (Konch, Schmeichel, Nugent) but would be fine in the premiership. So we are trying to sort ourselves out. They're doing what we did a few years back
Stadt Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Have Forest forgotten about FFP play? I can't imagine that they'll be making anywhere enough to be able to spend this amount of money.
Ric Flair Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Cannot wait to see Forest implode and hopefully fold in the coming months.
Stadt Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 I dislike Forest as much as anybody but I wouldn't want to see them fold, I wouldn't want to see any club fold (Maybe Millwall) but especially not one of our rivals,
Fox92 Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 How much did Guedioura go for? What you make counts towards FFP as well doesn't it? To balance things out. Forest lost a lot of players last summer (2012) and this year Guedioura left as well as McGugan (although he went to Watford for free)... The only thing I can think of is the fact they've made more than us and/or don't have players on as much as us. Kasper, Nugent and St Ledger are all on 15k+ a week (apparently), and I bet we're still paying for Beckford, Mills and more recently Danns.
GingerrrFox Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 Forest reckon FFP won't hold up in court as it's a restriction of trade and employment. Real gamble from them in any circumstance.
conLAD logan Posted 5 January 2014 Posted 5 January 2014 i don't think they've spent as much as people seem to think tbh
ealingfox Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 Bit surprised by all the Derby and Forest bumming on here recently. People saying if we ever went up they want the pair of them to come with us fvck that! No matter where we are in the table, the best place for them in my eyes is 23rd and 24th. Anything above that is a disappointment.

Fox92 Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 Beckford and Mills were bought by Bolton I know bit they were (apparently) on that much here, don't you think we could still be contributing to their wages at Bolton? A sort of "yeah I'll go and accept less if you continue to pay xx% of my contract until it should have ran out here".

Soar Fox Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 Hobbs better than Morgan? I'm not convinced. I've not seen enough of Jack Hobbs this season, but Wes Morgan is definitely not playing as well as he was last season.
Dan Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 I've not seen enough of Jack Hobbs this season, but Wes Morgan is definitely not playing as well as he was last season. To be fair I did always like Hobbs and I'm not having for one second that he was 'average' here (like a lot have said), but he was never at the level Morgan played to last year. As average as Forest attacked against us, they were quality at the back. Morgan's not hit last years heights, I agree, but he's still been very decent.
davieG Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 Perhaps Hobbs has improved but his distribution when with us was awful.
Guest shearfox Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 Hobbs was/is a top championship defender but I feel Morgan is better
RedHux Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 Hobbs has been outstanding so far. Barely put a foot wrong and has had to deal with three cb pairings so far. He's been top notch at organising young lascelles and as for distribution, he just gives it to Lansbury who's pretty much always 5yards away. That said, he's effectively playing for a contract and it's just unwise to judge a player on half a seasons worth of games but so far he's been immense.
