Munshi Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 Like him or not. If i saw kane get a game ahead of me. I'd want to leave anyway. Hes 20 years old or something! Got picked for the under 20's today too
kingfox Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 Waggy > Vardy/Futacs/Kane Yet he was behind Vardy and Kane in the pecking order at the end of last season. If we don't sell Vardy and Futacs, I will be pretty shocked and pissed. But I think with Schlupp now cementing a place as a first team regular, I think Pearson has to look at the situation, and ask himself would I rather keep Schlupp or would I rather keep Waghorn. And being honest, he will more than likely choose and prefer Jeff.
foxfanazer Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 Like the lad and have always wanted him to succeed more than most players at the club but he's waaaaay too hit and miss to be a first team regular in a team with aspirations of getting promoted

Tielemans63 Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 He's pretty good at everything apart from shooting - which is not a great state of affairs when you're a striker.
deep blue Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 He's pretty good at everything apart from shooting - which is not a great state of affairs when you're a striker. There are different kinds of strikers, and it's good to have an option of one who can hold the ball up and set up other team players, even if they don't score many themselves. It is allowed for midfielders, and other forwards, to pick up chances on the back of their work and to score! Heskey has prolonged his career with this kind of play, successfully enough to be picked consistently at international level to play that role. He's like a 50p with legs. He always gives of his best, sadly his best isn't good enough. Still he was only £3m.
Col city fan Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 Anyone believing that Pearson is the messiah just have to look at the strikers he's signed. Wood, I hope will turn around his form, but Vardy and Futacs? Eh? I don't get either signing to be honest.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 Had opportunities last year and didn't take them. I know we all love a trier but we wouldn't have made top six if we didn't sign Wood. Doubt we'd have seen too much sympathy for him in those circumstances.
MarkHowieLCFC Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 This...when given a chance you take it...Wood came in and banged the goals. Goals=Striker Had opportunities last year and didn't take them. tontolcfc Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 How many times does Waggy win the ball back. Sorry can't defend him. Vardy works hard, wins the ball back, links up play, creates chances I'd keep him and play him right midfield / wing.
Swiss_tony Posted 28 May 2013 Share Posted 28 May 2013 vardy waghorn and futacs are all much of a muchness and should be shipped out. not good enough. he tries hard, big deal, so did ian hume and he was fecking useless too.
muzzy1981 Posted 29 May 2013 Author Share Posted 29 May 2013 Not a great deal of love for waggy, I reckon he will go to Derby and become a strong champ striker. I quite like Nige but question his ability to get the best out of strikers.

Fox in exile Posted 29 May 2013 Share Posted 29 May 2013 I liked Waggy and he always gave the appearance of caring about Leicester as well x shame to see him go when we still have Futacs and Vardy on the books I think whoever picks up Waggy will pick a bargain x
Dickov22 Posted 30 May 2013 Share Posted 30 May 2013 I thought at the start of the season we played some of our best football with Nugent and Vardy upfront. I think Vardy will get another chance. Waggy is useless, cannot control the ball, useless in the air and doesn't score goals. He's had enough chances
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 30 May 2013 Share Posted 30 May 2013 I think Vardy is criticised too much and prefer him to Waggy - who I see as overrated. I also agree that we did play better when Vardy was up front too.

dynamark Posted 30 May 2013 Share Posted 30 May 2013 If we can sell him at least the folk sitting in row Z will be safe. The only goal I saw him score this year(Huddersfield?)I swear was a miskick -decent fella but no composure sadly
