Uncle Albert Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 If he's not as good then he is very close to being as good as him then. If Liverpool don't get Champions League football next season Matt then he's a gonna to Real I think mate.
Guest MattP Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 He is not as good as Messi. It is not 'anti-Liverpool' to try and claim that he's not at Messi's level. Every Liverpool fan I've ever met will claim you are 'anti-Liverpool' if you are critical in any way, shape or form. If Liverpool don't get Champions League football next season Matt then he's a gonna to Real I think mate. I hope so to be honest, he's far too good not be playing in it.
Uncle Albert Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 God knows where the Daily Star have got their story from today in Real swapping Benzema and £20million for Luis Suarez. Another failed attempt at selling papers.
Finnegan Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Take your anti Liverpool head off you idiot, your opinion became invalid after your ridiculous Bale and Ramsay claims. Suarez could be as good as Messi, I have no doubt in that, Suarez in that Barcelona team would thrive just as much as Messi. Suarez has one downside, his antics in the past have probably prevented him from ever moving to Barcelona, can't see them ever coming in for him, if it wasn't for his past I think he would be there already. You have to be a real idiot to not see how good a player Luis Suarez is, without a doubt one of the most gifted footballers in the world. Shame people can't see beyond his previous incidents in whether a player is world class or not. lol I don't have an anti Liverpool head, I was delighted when they won the CL. Would largely like to see them do well and generally prefer them to all but Arsenal and Tottenham as far as the "big" clubs go. I'm just not a feverishly biased kid that bleeds Scouse. You won't find anyone with half a brain to agree that Suarez could or ever will be in the same class as Messi. Neither will lots of players I like, Ibra, Bale, Reus, Gotze, Mata, etc. Most footballers will never reach Messi's level and 99.9% of people wouldn't take that as an insult, cry, throw their toys out of the pram and have to call people idiots because they've been pulled up. Messi is unique. He is THAT good. Suarez is phenomenal, I'm not arguing otherwise, I'm simply saying he is no more immense than several other top Premiership players, such as RVP and that there's absolutely no shame in that. You're either a very one track troll, Lofty, or you really should have grown up a bit by now. Learn to put your case forward without being emotional and try seeing the world of football without your Anfield specs on occasionally. Alright la?

No-one in the world is and the closest anyone has come to being as good or equalling him is Ronaldo. Suarez is a fantastic footballer. Messi/Ronaldo are just better.

You need to learn how to put your point across as well without sounding like a cocky twat that you come across, remember I've been in your company in real life, you wouldn't say boo to a goose. We had verbal disagreements going into a FoxesTalk game once, you gobbed off just as I did, yet when it came to the game you wouldn't even speak to me or come anywhere near me for that matter. At least I can say how I act on here is how I act in the real world, I don't have some Internet persona.

I understand what you're saying, I really do. What I'm saying is, if Suarez goes to Barcelona I really do think he can be as good as Messi, with them players around him how can he not improve? He's already world class in an average side, think how much better he can get playing alongside Messi, Neymar, Iniesta and Xavi?

I'm no shrinking violet at all, I just had no need or interest to talk to you. If I was a timid keyboard warrior I wouldn't have shown up and let anyone with an issue take a pop. In fact, I'd turn it back around on you and anyone else I may have offended, why didn't you take the opportunity to confront me on my attitude? Hm? Oh look, a tumbleweed. There were plenty of people there I never spoke to. Did you speak to EVERYONE there? Your idea of cocky twat, though, is just anyone willing to tell you you're being daft when you start trying to shout everyone down on the forum. I quite like you, to be honest, you say what you feel and it makes for some entertaining threads on here. But lord, you do need to calm down occasionally. I mean, look at this argument, all started because you took offence at Suarez being called not as good as Messi. Behave.

People there will remember that day but you believe what you want.
Fox92 Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 A football based thread turning into an insult thread. Only on Foxestalk
Finnegan Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 lol I've never read so much shit. People there will remember that day but you believe what you want. And what will they remember? That you didn't argue with anyone, that I didn't argue with anyone, because people showed up largely to get on with each other. Obviously it was so intimidating an experience for a weedy keyboard warrior like me that I showed up another two or three times to FT meetings and largely got on fine with the majority of people there. I'm not entirely sure what you think your point is, to be honest, matey. If it's that you think I wouldn't laugh in your face if you told me - in "real life" - that Suarez was as good as Messi then I'm afraid you're a bit mistaken. If it's that you think I should be scared of you because you're taller than me and I should be worried about you lamping me for disagreeing with your opinions on football then you're really just only proving my point. This is a bit silly now, pal. More than happy to agree to disagree if you'll stop trying to throw shit everywhere and making yourself look daft.
21st Century Fox Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Suarez isn't even as good as Ibrahimovic.
Finnegan Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Suarez isn't even as good as Ibrahimovic. Neither are Messi and Ronaldo until they have a Parisian cheeseburger named after them.

Finnegan Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 YYYYEEEEESSSSSSS!!! Coleman apparently wants the Palace job.
Leicesterpool Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 YYYYEEEEESSSSSSS!!! Coleman apparently wants the Palace job. Think he knows his time as Wales boss is running out.
AKCJ Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 I like Coleman but he's a shit manager. Think he comes across very well in his interviews and as a pundit.
Leicesterpool Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 It sounds like it's between McLeish and Coleman! So they've gone on off the idea of Pulis who managed to keep Stoke up for five seasons! with the lowest finish was 14th i believe.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Pulis is essentially a poor man's Allardyce, and that's saying something.
Guest MattP Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Pulis is essentially a poor man's Allardyce, and that's saying something. You could argue it's the other way around on the last few seasons.
ADK Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Pulis is probably underrated, he got an average championship side to finish comfortably mid table in the prem for several seasons.
