Soar Fox Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Sad story this http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/348190/-Cruel-Premier-League-clubs-blasted-after-former-Tottenham-youth-player-commits-suicide It's not the clubs fault in my opinion. Thousands of players are let go by professional clubs over the years.
Fox92 Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Pulis is probably underrated, he got an average championship side to finish comfortably mid table in the prem for several seasons. I'm no fan of Pulis, and I don't like his style of football, but I do agree. What he achieved at Stoke was very good, and remember he guided them to an FA Cup Final as well.
Stadt Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 If Pulis was appointed it would be the prime example of what's wrong with the English game, short term 'success' of staying in the premier league over long term development of players and playing style. Palace would be best to get relegated, take the parachute payments and build a side more capable of performing at BPL level under the stewardship of a decent manager and bounce back stronger before.
Super_horns Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 It's not the clubs fault in my opinion. Thousands of players are let go by professional clubs over the years. Hate to say it as the story is sad but does sound a bit like people trying to blame football again for something that happened a few years after he left Spurs.. BTW Spurs fans weren't very happy on the radio last night! No wonder AVB complained about them... I don't think Pulis would keep Palace up and it sounds he'd want a lot of money...maybe they ought to give somebody young a go to develop a team.
Renart Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 A chairman who is talking sense or just a smoke screen? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24759455
StanSP Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 A chairman who is talking sense or just a smoke screen? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24759455 It is hard to buy in to the words that senior members of organisations say these days. But if he truly means it, I really couldn't agree more. Too many times rash decisions have been made and of course turns out to be the wrong decision. The concept of giving someone time seems to be missed by many.
Leicesterpool Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 A chairman who is talking sense or just a smoke screen? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24759455 Normally chairman or owners say this and probably two weeks later the manager gets the sack, It's almost certain Jol is the next to go. It would be interesting to see what type of manager they can attract. Myself i think they'll go for someone unproven at this level like Solskjaer or Zola, they've already tried the experience route and it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

MC Prussian Posted 1 November 2013 Posted 1 November 2013 Anyone mentioned that Hart's been dropped for tomorrow's game? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24778956 Expect the Romanian giraffe in goal. PANTILIMON POWER!!! Sounds like a new Pokémon.

PANTILIMON POWER!!! Sounds like a new Pokémon. Has he actually said anywhere that Hart will be dropped? Pellegrini refused to be drawn on the Hart issue at his news conference on Friday, saying only, "tomorrow [saturday] you will know the XI that starts", but it is understood that Hart has been dropped.
Danno Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 If Peligrini drops Hart he's a ****ing idiot. Almost as bad as signing Deimichelis and putting Garcia at centre half.
separator Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 If Peligrini drops Hart he's a ****ing idiot. Almost as bad as signing Deimichelis and putting Garcia at centre half. Hart has been dropped, Pantilimon to start
Jimothy Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 If Peligrini drops Hart he's a ****ing idiot. Almost as bad as signing Deimichelis and putting Garcia at centre half. If you mean those as two separate mistakes I agree. Demichelis is nothing special and Garcia at centre half is a joke. If you mean he's an idiot for signing Demichelis and playing Garcia at the back instead, then I don't totally agree because Demichelis has been injured. However he's an idiot for playing Garcia at the back when he as Lescott available.
bovril Posted 2 November 2013 Posted 2 November 2013 Chelsea about to lose. This Saturday has been great so far and it's not even 3pm!
