The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 That was pretty similar to Vardy's goal yesterday. Keeper's fault and a goal resulting in it due to none stop running and anticipation from the forward.
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Hart's really pushing his luck with errors now. He can't continue to make the first team when he's costing points left right and centre. Nastasic should have obviously headed it in a different direction but it was made difficult for him by Hart rushing out of his area. Nastasic couldn't leave it as Torres would have got there first and Hart couldn't use his hands. Had he just stayed in his area. It would have been a basic head back and catch situation.

I've been saying it for ages it's time for Hart to be dropped, i don't think it's fair players like Forster, Ruddy and Foster who to be fair haven't made the amount errors as Hart yet they can't get a look in. This could finish Hart off at Man City!

StanSP Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Michael Oliver showing his ineptitude once again as a referee. Vertonghen whips a cross in. Elmohammady barely 5-10 yards away. Hits Elmohammady's leg, bounces up on to his arm which is placed in a position which isn't to obstruct the ball at all. No movement to do so, anyway. No intention to handball. Referee gives a penalty. Spurs go on to win. Ridiculous decision from Oliver.

That's the difference between them being 4th and seventh right now.
Super_horns Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Harsh couple of weeks for Hull. Hopefully Hart is getting his mistakes out of the way before the World Cup...

This could finish Hart off at Man City! Foster didn't want to play for England for nearly 2 years and is presently injured. Hart is making some poor errors and needs to eradicate them. He's also making fine saves in between. He can play better but he's so far ahead of the rest of the keepers that we need him in form rather than dropping him.

Just gets me though, Robert Green made one error in the world cup his first ever error in a england shirt! Just one! and was he never picked again for England! Joe Hart at times gets the same treatment as Rooney people treat them like gods (though in Rooney's defence he's on form at the moment for both club and country). I admit a few years ago I really rated Joe Hart and i had high hopes in him but i don't think it's fair that a player who is clearly off form is getting picked, yet somebody who is in form can't get a look in. Just face the facts Joe Hart is simply not a world class goalkeeper! no english keeper at the moment is.
theessexfox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 We're not very blessed with fine keepers at the minute.

Just face the facts Joe Hart is simply not a world class goalkeeper! no english keeper at the moment is. But who is really in form? Ruddy has made a couple of errors recently, no-one knows how Forster does every week (yeah he might look great in the Champions League v Barcelona but Hart often performs in those games) and then Ben Foster, who is injured and chose to not be selected for England. He seems too complacent and lapses of concentration rather than technical errors which can be solved and rectified. We don't have a world-class keeper so we have to make the best of what we do have.

Wasn't he sent off against Ukraine in a qualifier as well ?I believe he was the first (and only) English goalkeeper to be sent off.

Fox92 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Hart can get away with a few errors, he is an automatic choice to be England's number one, because we have no goalkeeper better than him.
Stadt Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Hart is error prone but he's still a decent keeper, Ben Foster wants to pick and choose which managers he wants to play for which isn't on at all, you play for England not managers. Ruddy is also error prone but doesn't draw the media like Hart does so people tend to overrate him. People are judging Forster on a couple of games against top sides in the CL, players are bound to raise their game for those matches (Sol Bamba vs Madrid), I haven't seen Forster play much so I don't know what he's like so I'd need to see him play more to judge. Hart is clearly our best keeper but I'd like to see other players tried to get a bit more experience so they're ready if they need to be.
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 It's true Hart is in the fortunate position of having no competition for England. However unlike England, Man City can spend a few million on a replacement in January. He certainly needs to buck his ideas up, he's not untouchable and is making more mistakes than he should be. Maybe a bit of competition would actually do him good.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Very interesting (and somewhat brave) comments from Villas Boas about the Spurs fans needing to do better. We're not the only club then!
Corky Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Very interesting (and somewhat brave) comments from Villas Boas about the Spurs fans needing to do better. We're not the only club then! Spurs have always had a high percentage of complainers in their support. Thankfully they've moved from radio phone-ins to the ground now.
foxfanazer Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Never rated Hart. His decision making is truly awful and he doesn't like catching a ball. England maube haven't got anyone better but surely Man City won't settle for him
foxfanazer Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Good to see a bit of the old Fernando Torres coming back. Must have some confidence to take on and beat Clichy! He does have a bit of Waghorn about him, hits thw woodwork a lot!

A few premiership managers have criticised (quite rightly) about a lack of atmosphere. Its sad but its just the way it is.
Uncle Albert Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Made me laugh reading on numerous social media sites that Fernando Torres is now 'back'. He scored his first League goal of 2013 and we are in November on Friday..
