I think, with the exception of opening day local derbies, the 'opening day' effect on away followings is minimal, especially with unpopular games like this one which Father Ted nicely summarised above. I'm being tempted into going now...yep,only Leeds took more than that last season at just over 2000, next was Huddesfield with just over 1100.Good effort IMO. They're only powerful if there's hardly any of you, or if there is a few but no-one does anything to stop others being thrown out. Stewards have left me alone in my experience. People just have not got the cash this time of year or are still on holiday anyway. Not to mention amount of people that will be going to BBQ's parties etc as anyone who has a birthday this week will have organised it for Saturday in a garden after current weather.
