Now Forest are preparing to test Leicester City's resolve again when it comes to 29-year-old Morgan, by upping the ante from their previous £1.5m offer that was rejected by the Foxes.

It is believed the Reds – who drew at Chesterfield last night – are ready to up their offer beyond the £2m mark in an attempt to bring the fans' favourite back to the City Ground.

Foxes boss Nigel Pearson remains determined to hang on to the player, with Leicester short of cover in the centre of their back four.

But a third bid from Forest could leave Leicester with a decision to make, with Morgan's contract set to expire at the end of the season.

If it is in excess of £2m I would take the money personally.

Who replaces him for less money? Otherwise it's bad business

I think you could get someone like Leon Barnett ( 500K) and Christophe Berra (free agent)

They aren't close to his level

Still fairly decent though 2 CB of that caliber is better than Wes, with Moore and Whitbread alongside those two we would be more than Covered, then spend the rest of the money on a Left winger.

I wouldn't take £4 million.

Not only is Morgan a really, really, really good centre back at this level but he's experienced. We've got next to no experience in this squad.

Surely Whitbread if ( and that is a big if) keeps fit is experienced and likewise St Ledger (he divides opinion), we would be daft to not take £4m that money could be reinvested into bringing some very decent players.

if they offered £4mil then maybe it might be thinking time, but £2mil is a joke imo for one of the best defenders outside the premiership.

if we want to make a promotion push this season selling someone of such importance to the team would be darn right stupid.

We need somebody to partner Wes not get rid of him and we won't find a good enough defender to replace him for less money. Really wanted Hobbs and Morgan to be our defensive partnership.

Wouldn't sell Wes unless we're offered silly money (~£5m). One of the best at this level and still has 3ish seasons left. Think he's capable of making the step up if we do get promoted too.

It seems she is trying to unsettle our player.

I think she has crossed a line.

10 minutes after her nose crossed it.

£4-5m for Wes?

He's not that good.

If we have the chance of getting combined fees of 4m for Schmeichel & Morgan I think we'd be daft not to sell, especially as both are out of contract soon and at the moment haven't signed an extension.

So we should sell our two best players, who are we going to replace them with? They're worth more to us as part of our team than a couple of million quid.

News today, Florist have got Hobbs on 12 month loan, then transfer from 'ull.

Got to wonder why a 12 month loan and then permanent?? Why not just permanent?

I would guess it's so any transfer fee will come off next seasons budget, thus helping with this seasons ffp.
