I getcha.. but define 'made you'?

In monetary terms the moves to Liverpool and Chelsea were what 'made' Torres. And his current paymasters and fans are Chelsea. Don't they deserve for Torres to celebrate such a huge goal?

No.

Surely it doesn't matter to the fans if Torres celebrates or not, at least he scored for once.

I think they'd just appreciate the fact he scored it, doubt they'd give a toss as to whether he celebrated it or not. If a Leicester player doesn't celebrate when scoring against a former club it doesn't bother me in the slightest, I understand why, and in some cases, respect, their not doing so.

It's the team Torres supports as well don't forget, he might be pissed off. lol

And Col Atletico made Fernando, he was regarded as the best in the world from memory, if people didn't know his name before he came to England its their own fault for being so insular.

You're calling Kevin Phillips a soft arse???  :o

I am disappointed Kevin Phillips failed to celebrate against Blackpool.

if i'd grown up in leicester, my grandad had brought me up as an leicester fan, i'd joined leicester as a kid (11 yo), became captain at 19 and basically turned into a club legend i don't think i'd care what occasion it was i'd still not be able to go nuts scoring against us. scoring against a former club wouldn't bother me much, scoring against my club would.

You and I are different in that respect then mate. I fully enjoy seeing a City player passionately celebrating scoring for the club. And this is THE CHAMPS LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL.. the biggest club tournament on earth. I'd want Torres (Vardy) to run over to where I'm sitting and do one of his celebratory slides...

Even it it was against Fleetwood! Or his first club..

lol

I think he just forgot how to celebrate.

He was always looked upon highly during his time at Atletico, I'd agree that it wasn't until the Liverpool switch he became world class. As for not celebrating, the game was still premature, I'd probably agree that he should celebrate if he scored let's say in the last ten minutes or so which pretty much would wrap up the game.

Scouse.

Nail. Head. It's not just a former club, Fernando Torres IS Atletico Madrid.

Can you imagine Steven Gerrard celebrating against Liverpool in any circumstance? Or Totti against Roma? Granted, those players didn't LEAVE their clubs but, still.

Yeah but on the flipside if a former Leicester stalwart/legend (maybe not Vardy, yet) moved on then scored against us then I would be quite impressed if he didn't go nuts when scoring out of love/respect/whatever for the club and would be equally narked if he did.

Maybe i'm old fashioned but in the money grabbing, mercenary world of football today it's nice to see a bit of affection from a player towards a former club.
