Legend_in_blue Posted 26 January 2014 Posted 26 January 2014 You do realise that Knack is selling more than your beloved Super Mario 3D Land right? From a pro-Nintendo standpoint, you're hardly in a position to take a pop Phube, the WiiU is finished.
Phube Posted 26 January 2014 Posted 26 January 2014 Does the wii support netflix? Why yes, yes it does! You do realise that Knack is selling more than your beloved Super Mario 3D Land World right? From a pro-Nintendo standpoint, you're hardly in a position to take a pop Phube, the WiiU is finished. I am aware and I am thoroughly ashamed of the UK (but being a pack-in helps!)!
Charl91 Posted 26 January 2014 Posted 26 January 2014 Must admit, I bought a WiiU a few weeks back. I figured it was a lot cheaper than getting a NextGen console (lets face it, the WiiU isn't really Next Gen) and offers something different to my '360. I'm pleasantly surprised with it - it's not going to be the console of the century, but it's got some great games (though it needs a bigger selection tbh). Just need to wait for Smash Bro's to come out now! Must admit, from what I've seen, I really haven't been impressed with the latest generation of consoles. Every other new generation had games and graphics which immediately made me go "Wow, I need to buy this console". You can just about tell that the One/PS4 has better graphics, but only if you spent 5 minutes doing a spot-the-difference. As for the games? Nothing exciting so far. Maybe in a year or two it will be more impressive, but so far they seem pretty disappointing. Game I'm most looking forward to is Dark Souls 2, and that's on the '360.
DennisNedry Posted 26 January 2014 Author Posted 26 January 2014 I now have three titles on PS4 to get through and none of them have cost a penny. Resogun is decent, enjoying that. A blast with the lights out, easy to dip in and out of. Just downloaded Don't Starve, another freebie on PSN. Not sure what to make of this, looks strange, will see how it plays. I bought the Knack bundle and tbf I cannot understand the slating the game has had. It's not as bad as the reviews make out, it's very old hat in a way but it plays well and looks nice. The water effects where I'm at now look amazing. Looking forward to the Outlast release. This again is free on PSN and is out Feb 5. The PC reviews of this are very strong, decent survival horror title. So much for there being now't to play on PS4. The Thief previews just keep getting better and better also. That looks so sweet. Don't Starve is one of those indie games that are at first a bit underwhelming and confusing, but once you really get into it the depth becomes apparent. Outlast is looking good, and you can't argue with another free game can you? Not sure about Thief although I haven't looked into it much. At a glance it looks a bit too similar to Dishonored.

kingcarr21 Posted 27 January 2014 Posted 27 January 2014 Yes, I need to pick up AC4, but not at £55. Even a pre owned copy in game was £50. Obscene price. Will wait for it to drop in price. You know what you're going to get with AC. Thief on the other hand might be worthwhile at £50. Had Deadly Shadows on PC, awesome game. Think The Cradle is making a return in the game as well. you could always rent it for a tenner from movie zone in leicester forest east u get to keep it for a week. If you reckon you could complete it in a week and not bothered about keeping it after main story is done might be a good idea for ya

Downloaded this last night and have no idea what to do. I spent 15 minutes chasing a turkey round trying to stab it with a fork... It's fair to say it didn't go well

Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 How many controllers can you connect to each console? For PS3 it was 7 and for Xbox 360 it was 4 I believe.

Legend_in_blue Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Finally got a PS4 today yay Now to get Leicester to the champions leagueFinally got a PS4 today yay Now to get Leicester to the champions league Good choice. Now you can enjoy multi platform titles in 1080p running at 60 fps. Unlike its more expensive counterpart.
lgfualol Posted 28 January 2014 Posted 28 January 2014 Good choice. Now you can enjoy multi platform titles in 1080p running at 60 fps. Unlike its more expensive counterpart. I'd always been an Xbox guy. But I felt a change was needed after Microsoft announced all those stupid rules (I know they changed their minds) but out of principal n stuff. I like it a lot so far, the console itself looks so nice. Now to get Leicester to the uefa cup
Legend_in_blue Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 The upcoming PlayStation 4 version of horror title Outlast will run at 60fps at 1080p, developer Red Barrels has confirmed. Speaking with GamingBolt, studio co-founder Philippe Morin also confirmed that there are no differences between the PS4 release and the PC version. “As far as we’re concerned, both versions look the same,†said Morin. Outlast takes place from a first-person perspective within the confines of a spooky psychiatric hospital. Playing as freelance journalist Miles Upshur, gamers must survive the asylum’s insane residents by using the environment to their advantage, with combat taking a backseat in the proceedings. Outlast is due out on PS4 on February 5.
Legend_in_blue Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Industry insider Ahsan Rasheed, otherwise known as Thuway, has said that a soon to be released Ubisoft game is set to run at different resolutions on PS4 and Xbox One. "Get your hats ready, Resolution-Gate coming to a Ubisoft game near you," said Rasheed, via Twitter.Content-break"That's all I can say," he concluded. The resolutiongate reference pertains to multiple instances of multiplatform games that run at higher resolutions on PS4 than they do on Xbox One. News that Call of Duty would run at a native 1080p on PS4 and 720p on Xbox One kicked off the debate on resolution difference on PS4 and Xbox One and the degree to which these differences matter. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is the latest game to be embroiled in arguments around the relative power of the PS4 and Xbox One after it was revealed that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition runs at 60fps on the PS4 and 30fps on the Xbox One. If Rasheed is correct, then it seems another game will soon spark more conversation on resolutions and the power of the PS4 and Xbox One. It's not clear what Ubisoft game Rasheed is referring to in his tweet, but, given the trends that we've witnessed, it's pretty safe to say that the Xbox One is the console that will come off worse, if and when the PS4 and Xbox One resolutions for the Ubisoft game Rasheed is referring to becomes apparent. With Rasheed suggesting that the Ubisoft game in question is set to be released soon, we can also make a educated guess about which game Rasheed is talking about. The most likely candidate would seem to be Watch Dogs, which is set to release this Spring. at Microsoft. This time they've screwed up imo.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 You're hatred for the Xbox One is laughable. You think the average person can tell the difference between fps or 720/1080? All of your posts are just slagging off Microsoft, it has gotten rather boring...
Beliall Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 harldy slagging off microsoft. PS4 is better at being a games machine, xbox is better at being a jack of all trades,
Legend_in_blue Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 You need to get out more. You're obsessed. Not really. Just stumbled across the article whilst looking at something else. You're hatred for the Xbox One is laughable. You think the average person can tell the difference between fps or 720/1080? All of your posts are just slagging off Microsoft, it has gotten rather boring... I do not hate the console. . Far from it. It is very easy to tell the difference between 720 and 1080. People should easily be able to tell the difference. Particularly when sitting fairly close up to a tv for gaming. 1080p to ultrahd is also obvious. I'm not slagging them off either, merely presenting the facts as they are.
