Rincewind Posted 25 September 2013 Posted 25 September 2013 I like my slow cooker although not used it for a while. In the winter I can get two days good portions of stew out of it. Stewed steak veg peppers herbs spuds (for veg option leave out meat just as good) If I keep adding stock and stuff to it I can get 3-4 days. Perfect cost saver if you are struggling on 50k or less per annum.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 25 September 2013 Posted 25 September 2013 Rotary cheese grater, I love mine
Kitchandro Posted 25 September 2013 Posted 25 September 2013 Tongs and the fish slice are often saviours for my nearly overcooked meals.
purpleronnie Posted 25 September 2013 Posted 25 September 2013 I do like my mussel strainer, remember to stretch first though.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 25 September 2013 Posted 25 September 2013 My chopping board, mainly because I prepare my weeks food on a Sunday so it's totally redundant until a week later... BUT ACTUALLY IT ISNT!!! It's the perfect size to use as a tray so I eat off the little beauty too (well off a plate on the board). Easily the most used utensil in the whole room
Zingari Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 My missus like the washing machine on fast spin and leans against it with a big grin on her face. Can't see what she finds in it meself .
Captain... Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 Do love this..... But this is my favourite........ Now if you could stick a couple of slices of bacon in there somewhere I would be all over that.
21st Century Fox Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 I have an Asparagus Steamer that someone gave me (I'll never know why) that has never seen an asparagus spear as I use it exclusively for steaming hot dogs.
Rincewind Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 Now if you could stick a couple of slices of bacon in there somewhere I would be all over that. Nearest I could find. Thought I'd seen one somewhere. I may treat myself to a combination microwave/cooker The prices are reasonable now and would suit forwhat I do Plus one of these.
Strokes Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 le creuset, sometimes you get what you pay for. Ive had all mine for 7 years and it still looks brand new (apart from the skillet)

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 October 2013 Posted 11 October 2013 Nice to see you're still getting your oats. Oh yes, I can't survive without them. Not twelve times a day any more though.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 11 October 2013 Posted 11 October 2013 My chopping board has just been demoted to 2nd (still in the automatic promotion spot though) by the new... EGG POACHER!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 October 2013 Posted 11 October 2013 My slow cooker has been my favourite lately. I think they are really great.

Zingari Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Toastie maker though it ****s me off having to butter both sidrs of each slice of bread. so your favourite kitchen item isn't the cleaning up vomit bowl then?
Orkneyfox Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Apart from my spurtle (see above) I do like this. It is a tube of rubbery/plasticy stuff about 4" long, you put garlic gloves in it, roll them around applying gentle pressure and the skins come off clean and easy.

Is that what you told the missus when she found it in your bedside drawer?
