Manager of the month September

Recommended Posts

Gotta be Dyche IMO and rightly so! He's doing a cracking job with Burnley, He did alright at Watford too so was surprised when they sacked him when they got some investment!

I don't think they will maintain their current form but anywhere near the playoffs is a sucess for them given their current budget!

Really, people? How can a manager win promotion without getting the award at least once!?

I'll settle for just one Manager of the Year when he's got us promoted.

Pearson really doesn't strike me as the sort of person that would give a shit about winning motm

and rightly so - the award is well past its use by date in any case  and should be scrapped .  Its also a bit of a joke since everyone knows it's the kiss of death and should  avoid it like the plague

Got to be between Dyche and Pearson really, Watford lost in the cup, Millwall were already out of it but were destroyed 5-1 at home by Derby.

Burnley's cup win was against Forest so all in all, has to be Dyche, so it'll be Pearson just to mess with us.

It's all academic really, I run of 3-4 bad results and he's toast.

Here come the curses again lol

Just to make it clear 442 did a piece of this a while back and there is very little difference between the win % of a team whose manager has just won Manager of the Month compared to the rest of the season. It's a myth peddled by insecure fans.

I do hope that all the comments about it being a 'curse' are light-hearted. Anyone who genuinely believes it's a curse is an idiot.

The stats here say it all.

It's like second season syndrome, one person mentioned it, another agreed probably and then everyone followed with this curse or major collapse myth without actually looking at stats or anything.

The stats we should be interested in are ours. Has it been the kiss of death to us? January's certainly was

Do you really believe that was to do with Nigel being presented with a small trophy for five minutes rather than factors on the football pitch?
