The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Sir Nige is now the second longest serving manager in the Championship behind Chrissy P
I am Rod Hull Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Not surprised. I`v always liked the bloke but he`s done nowt in his time at Boro.
Fox92 Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 This was always coming, they've had a really poor start. I think, generally, he's done alright turning them back into a decent side again... No doubt he will still be a legend there.
foxfanazer Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 They have been shocking to be fair. Leicesterpool sort it out mate
ADK Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 He looked like he knew that was coming in his interview. I like Mowbray but Boro will feel they are due a change.
Stadt Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Not surprised. I`v always liked the bloke but he`s done nowt in his time at Boro.He was decent at WBA but for whatever reason he's just not done it at Boro
Donut Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Initially, he did very well with them. A young squad, a talented squad, he recovered them to a safe mid table position, and then kicked on to get Boro into the top 2 in the league last season. And then, it got very cold, it snowed heavily, and there was a game in front of 8,000 at the KP. Boro were the opponents and entertained, but lost. Since then, its been downhill all the way. A good manager at this level, but another one gone.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 They've been absolutely horrendous since we beat them in the famous snowy Friday night game.
I am Rod Hull Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 I`d have him here if Pearson left us, no probs.
Leicesterpool Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 He was decent at WBA but for whatever reason he's just not done it at Boro Struggled at Celtic aswell
Kitchandro Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Not surprising. They looked to be doing ok for a while but since the turn of the year they've been dreadful. I expect Clarke to follow soon.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 They were terrible end of last season. And because they were so dire against us on first game of season i backed em to go down when i got home
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Is it 5 league wins since the turn of the year? That's utter shit. Their slump has been even more remarkable than ours was between February and April, especially considering some of the stuff they were playing, thank god we've had no hangover at the start of this season.
kingfox Posted 21 October 2013 Posted 21 October 2013 Shit club, shit ground, shit fans. When I was at junior school I once said, "I like every team in the Premiership apart from Middlesbrough, because their name sounds boring"
iamafox Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 Didn't think Boro would have struggled this badly at the start of the season, considering the quality they have in their squad. It's fair to say that they are underachieving.
StanSP Posted 22 October 2013 Posted 22 October 2013 They were worse than us from January to May last season, and that is saying something. Only 1 win at home I think this calendar year? And only six points gained out of 51 on the road? Utterly despicable form, even for a stale club like Middlesbrough. They've become so stagnant and that's partly due to Mowbray and the players. Don't know who Middlesbrough would want for this job - can they attract someone with a bit of a reputation? Or will they pluck someone out from the lower leagues? I see them staying the Championship for another 3-5 years. Can also envisage 1 or 2 current League One clubs making the Premier League before Middlesbrough are back there.
