Weather warning for Leicestershire as severe storm approaches

Nobody has to drive in a dangerous storm. In fact it's pretty stupid.

If you have to go to work, or the hospital or do something where you HAVE to drive, then you have no choice but to drive.

Well obviously there are some people who must try to get to work but if the storm is really a bad storm then most people DON'T need to go to work until it has passed.

At the end of 1999 we had a storm which knocked out electricity, phone and even water supply for almost a week, trees blocked roads, the storm killed people. Very very few peolpe went to work for several days.

We are going to get almost the full force of it down here in the South. At Adams Park tomorrow to watch Wasps v Tigers, I hope.

Tomorrow night I am going to have to batten down the hatches, and take cover under the bed!

Will taxi drivers take the day off ? I don't think they will as they know that many will prefer tp use them than to drive themselves. I don't know what bus drivers will do though

How will taxi drivers and bus drivers work if there are trees blocking roads?

That will apply to all drivers. If you get to work ok, They had better sleep there in case they can't get home again.

What are you talking about?

If the storm is as bad as you lot say and trees are coming down people don't drive. You sleep wherever you are.

Still go ahead and try if you want. :P

It causes a sound if it falls on the Pope while he's shitting in the woods.

He gives out a loud squeal, closely followed by a rather upsetting crunching/squelching sound that could easily be recorded if you left a time-delayed recording device next to the tree that he came to shit under.

It's raining and the wind has picked up. Ok it's all a bit stop start at the moment, and hopefully things will not be too bad. The rain and wind have stopped, but it will probably start again soon

If it hits Leicester  hard this could do millions of pounds worth of improvements to our city .

It will knock Peter Soulsby's plans for six. What will he waste the money on now?
