Mr.X Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 Nobody has to drive in a dangerous storm. In fact it's pretty stupid. If you have to go to work, or the hospital or do something where you HAVE to drive, then you have no choice but to drive.
Guest Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 If you have to go to work, or the hospital or do something where you HAVE to drive, then you have no choice but to drive. Well obviously there are some people who must try to get to work but if the storm is really a bad storm then most people DON'T need to go to work until it has passed. At the end of 1999 we had a storm which knocked out electricity, phone and even water supply for almost a week, trees blocked roads, the storm killed people. Very very few peolpe went to work for several days.

I don't know what bus drivers will do though

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 How will taxi drivers and bus drivers work if there are trees blocking roads? That will apply to all drivers. If you get to work ok, They had better sleep there in case they can't get home again.

If the storm is as bad as you lot say and trees are coming down people don't drive. You sleep wherever you are. Still go ahead and try if you want.

Webbo Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 But if a tree falls whilst your asleep does it make a sound? Does the Pope shit in the woods?
Guest Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 But if a tree falls whilst your asleep does it make a sound? European or African?
Strokes Posted 26 October 2013 Posted 26 October 2013 Does the Pope shit in the woods? Is a bear catholic?
theessexfox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Meant to be bad down here too. I'm going somewhere with a mate and his family and I hope we'll be okay to drive.
Alf Bentley Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 But if a tree falls whilst your asleep does it make a sound? It causes a sound if it falls on the Pope while he's shitting in the woods. He gives out a loud squeal, closely followed by a rather upsetting crunching/squelching sound that could easily be recorded if you left a time-delayed recording device next to the tree that he came to shit under.
BigAL88 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 work should be intresting in the morning half 6 start in shefford when the 'storm' is supposed to be at its worst and we have to go to clacton to deliver 9 tonnes of drinks. good times

Zingari Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 If it hits Leicester hard this could do millions of pounds worth of improvements to our city .
Rincewind Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 If it hits Leicester hard this could do millions of pounds worth of improvements to our city . It will knock Peter Soulsby's plans for six. What will he waste the money on now?
