The People's Hero Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Anything up there? It's very very windy in Maidstone.
Fox92 Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Always comes across that the media do hype all this up. Just look at when it's snows. But then again, I suppose they do with everything because it's their job. Not saying this severe storm won't happen, or anything like that, but the Country always seems in shock when we have a touch of severe weather approaching. Had to laugh at the forecast earlier though for up here. It said 'Manchester will remain normal' - which I take means cold, rain and wind as usual
ADK Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 It's good that they are hyping it up because the public is generally retarded and needs reminding that doing things like playing in the sea during a gale is a stupid thing to do.
ozleicester Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 If you dont get to the Stadium during the "storm" then you are a....

MSN News told us that Cameron was meeting later that day to consider his response to the storm. This is a wind, not North Korea!
BigAL88 Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 pfft call this a storm, iv made stronger wind on the shit pan
FoxesAreBlue Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 The TV earlier was talking about "chaos" and "path of destruction" all whilst showing one bloke bailing out his kitchen with a dustpan and brush from under 1cm of water and a puddle in the back garden. Fvck me they just wish we were American don't they?!
Guest Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 looks all a bit of nothing on the news - other than the kid getting too close to a raging sea.

davieG Posted 28 October 2013 Author Posted 28 October 2013 I'm sure you'd all be feeling different if you were one of these. 220,000 homes are without power, as a storm batters parts of England and Wales.

It's not so rare to have a home without power. They should be happy that it'll soon be fixed and that it rarely happens to them.
Zingari Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 just been looking at the damage caused by the storm and saw this had appeared in someone's back garden Kid's trampoline or highly advanced flying saucer blown off course and crash landed ? you decide !!

Nobody said it was rare but its a it more than a turned over waste bin etc. I Know I'd be frustrated without power and even more pissed off if the tree in my front garden had gone down. If the weather folk hadn't hyped this up and it turned out worse there'd be a much longer topic than this assuming people had the power to post
