Sven's book

Its hard to disagree with that but i do, i just love sven. I will buy his book, i'm still heartbroken it didnt work out for him here.

Bang on. The man can do no wrong in my eyes. I so badly wanted him to do well with us.

You aren't the only one.

I neither here or there on the bloke but I find the almost hypnosis like hold he has over people incredible.

He's a proven liar, cheat, he's disloyal, he risks clubs futures with no care to try and boost his own profile, popularity among people in the game and bank balance, he takes huge amounts of money from third World nations for projects that last weeks, takes no responsibility for anything bad that ever happens and the jobs he is taking on now in China and Dubai etc are are a sad fact of where he is in modern day football terms.

He now has the misfortune of managing a team who are 37 points behind their local rivals in a Chinese town not many people have heard of for 2million a year.

I really don't get it at all and never will.

That's the magic with the man, he's the ultimate playboy and some would say conman. I'd honestly sell my family to the sex trade if he asked me to. I just absolutely loved him as England manager, the 5-1 win in Germany is still in my top three best nights i've ever had.

Think I'll pass on this one. He might be a nice bloke, although that doesn't matter when you're a football manager, but he messed our club up.

I hope he talks about why he sold Hobbs for such a stupid low price.

Hobbs was only an average Championship player, and not worth much.

I liked the guy and thought he was about to crack it for us .... just needed the same amount of time as Nigel has been afforded.

I'll definitely buy his book - Can't wait to read it.

At what point during that Millwall game did you think we were about crack it?

Here lies the debate though, there are many players at this level that are only average but under the right coaching and manager they succeed. Genuine quality is harder to come by in the Championship and it's often the team and players with the best work ethic and team spirit that prosper. We have seen that with us when you compare the talent pool we had under Sven and then under Pearson. It's happened with many other clubs at this level too.

Truth be told Hobbs, Morrison, Fryatt, Dyer and Waghorn all performed admirably for Pearson when he was first here but as soon as Sven came in after Sousa's brief stint they were shot to pieces and looked like pub players. All of them bar perhaps Waghorn have proven themselves again at this level, something Neil Danns, Matt Mills and Jermaine Beckford haven't really done again yet.

For me that's the correct definition, a conman.

How the hell has he managed to lose all his money though? He must have earnt 50million in wages minimum over his career?

He comes across as a bit simple to me. Fair play to him for getting away with it though, if clubs and owners are stupid enough to pay him these amounts he has the right to take it.

It was collective responsibility from Andrew Neville, and Sven and the Thais naeiveness that left us in a mess, which we out of now.

So the blame cannot be shouldered just on Sven alone.

The only good aspects I guess was signing Kasper, Nugent and Konchesky

Same here. No idea how he's managed to steal a living when he comes across as so thick and pathetic.

Most players in this division are 'average'... But you can get promoted with an 'average' bunch of players, look at Palace, Blackpool, Reading, Hull, Southampton. I can go on.

You might cite Hobbs as average, but he was quality here under Nigel. He moved to Hull and was the same, a solid defender, and ended up winning promotion... The fact that Sven sold Hobbs for less than a million, and replaced him with the likes of Mills and Bamba is just utter disbelief from my point of view.

It was. No doubt.

But the fact two of those are still at the club and we now are starting to look ok suggest to me one man might just shoulder a tad more blame than the others.

Frightening how successful people seem so stupid with their personal affairs and finances. I do genuinely think he just doesn't give a single fook about anything, I read a snippet of his book the other day about his affair with Ulrika and how he didn't apologise to Nancy because there was nothing to apologise for. Hahahahaaa I can't help but love him. He's astounding.

I like to blame Sven alone, because he was the manager; "first rule of leadership, everything if your fault".

Neville might sign contracts, or whatever, but how come under Nigel we went for Billy Sharp, he wanted more money, and then we pulled the deal? Nigel even came out on the radio and said this.

If that was Sven, we would have continued going for the player, I have no doubt about that, regardless of whether it was Sharp or another player.

Don't forget Mandaric, who was still here and pulling the strings right through the Sousa and Sven debacle.

Sven is just a brilliantly charming man. He could easily have been a high level politician or world class salesman. I admired his charisma but that's all it was, just a front which he used to get big contracts at clubs he was never really going to put any effort into managing.

Nice way of putting it lol

I've never ever understood it all - that's why I'd be interested in seeing this. Not that I'll be giving him any more money.

We're not out of it yet. We're getting there, but not definitely out of it.

If we go up then it's history.

Not gonna bother myself.

A deluded person, who made many fook ups at our club.

I started to lose faith, when he was adamant that Michael Ball could turn into our best signing under him.

He was shit, and hardly played.

A classic yes but that was nothing compared to his Steve Howard and Christian Vieri comment.

Did you see his run in the 4-0 Derby game?

I think Messi was more appropriate.

Tyson I think was more apt from what I remember.

Here's another beauty from that season. No wonder he got a big fat new long term deal.

Eriksson added: “Gallagher’s right foot is special, he is not far from Beckham in terms of his delivery of set-pieces.â€

One of the best extracts I read was the part where he got so sick of Nancy he arranged for her ex-husband to try and win her back  lol

And people actually take this stuff as 100% gospel as well, it's amazing.
