Six Tickets per Season Ticket Holder is so wrong

Recommended Posts

Even a few is a few too many!!!!!

So you think the same wouldn't happen if the tickets got to general sale? If the demand is there someone will try and take advantage.

It's a shame the club didn't have a way of offering people who had been to previous cup games first dibs, and yes 6 per season ticket holder is excessive. But even 1 each would have meant a sell out if everyone took up the offer (which they won't).

But frankly, anyone else I have little sympathy for.

Yes, possibly the same would happen, but then fans would all be able to get tickets come general sale anyway.  I will be very surprised if they get to general sale and some fans will not be able to get tickets because some have been sold on to non fans, or you have to pay extra to secure one through other means.  However, we both agree on the principal of the excessive numbers of tickets, which is the main point of the thread.  Its good to have difference of opinions in a good adult manner. What would happen if the majority of STHs purchased 4,5 6 tickets each?  The maths do not add up.  There will be some STHs come the end of the week that will only be able to purchase their own tickets as no additional tickets would be available.  Now you could argue that this is a first come first served basis, but then it is not even treating all STHs the same.  Even at 2 per STH if we have 17000 holders, then this is way over our capacity, especially with the increase in Man City fans tickets.

OK, maybe that remark on being the 'biggest fan' was not a correct statement to make.  However, I am no tw@t.  Again, maybe the point was, it does not make me any less loyal than an STH.  Thats the way I should have put it.  I am a lot older than 12 and very able to state that that remark was silly in those terms!

I know and I understand what you are getting at, as I said i have taken up 4 extra tickets, against 4 season tickets, so only 1 per person and I have sold them on at face value to city fans.

The club are to blame, but lets be honest, we only got 20k in for Fulham at a fiver less per ticket, they just want the ground sold out and fast, yes you may well get non city fans in the ground, but that can happen on general sale anyway, as stated we really only average 24k at push and if you allow for 2k of away fans, theat's 22 in reality so they just wanted a way to sell tickets quickly.

I know how much of a git it can be to get tickets when everyone jumps on the bandwagon, having missed out on fword last year and scrapping around to get a watford ticket, due to losing my p1 status on away tickets.

1. It's obvious that not all STH's will purchase 4,5 or 6 tickets each. There's no chance of that. I'd say it will be an average of 1 per STH, maximum. Majority won't buy any extra.

2. First come first serve is treating them all the same. Everyone STH has the chance to buy a ticket in their seat - just do it now.

They've given you seats elsewhere, those seats are guaranted until Monday 18th November.

Not sure what else you want the club to do, hand deliver them?

lol I'm trying to work out if you're constantly on the wind up!

That link is the first I've seen of it. Indeed it was posted today. That's the 3rd day of ticket sales and 5 days after the selling arrangements announcement. I got my tickets via Jim on Monday morning after exchanging a few emails with him Friday. I am positive he'd have informed me had these arrangements been in place by then, especially as I was so specific in where I wanted to relocate to.

And this NEW arrangement still means you have to fight your way through the usual queues just to find out where the club have located you to.

People are also forgetting the lengths the club must have gone through to find space elsewhere in the ground to move people to. They could have just said that it's a free for all?

We've all got to fight our way through the queues to buy a ticket as a ST holder.

I honestly don't know what you have to moan about.

I'm a STH holder and will be renewing my seat for this game but not until nearer the deadline.  I won't be using the extra allocation so I am quite happy between now and then to purchase the extra on the following terms:-

1)  I don't want to purchase and then be out of pocket because they don't get bought from me.

2)  Perhaps paying me part of the money before I actually purchase the tickets (and then paying the balance once ticket price known).

3)  I wouldn't want to make a profit so would sell them at face value but won't know until I go to book them what seats are available and the cost involved.

4)  I obviously don't want to be hoodwinked and give them to non City fans!!!

Have just noticed, I can only have 6 tickets upto the 8th November and then it decreases to 4 tickets after that period (upto the deadline date).  I am presuming that includes my own ticket so can only get 5 or 3 respectively.

Also, not sure how many seats would be available together for those who want to sit together because obviously seats are being taken up now.

There's the offer, let me know if anyone wants to take me up on it and how they wish to go forward (although logistically I might regret this!!!)

Has the game even sold out yet? Has anyone missed out on tickets yet?

I am neutral in this argument in as much as I want to be there in the night there is no way I can travel back to see games this year.

But it strikes me here as people are complaining about a potential problem and not an actual problem. Maybe wait until someone misses out on tickets before complaining?

Season ticket holders in certain parts of the ground are made aware when they buy that they will be moved for cup games, this is nothing new. When was the last time a league cup game was sold out? The club are trying to get as many city fans in as possible and surly by selling tickets to STH first it gives a better chance of the ground being full of LCFC fans rather than premier league day trippers?

A STH elsewhere in the ground could wait til 17th November to sort theirs. L and the other block originally had no such choice.

Because many many fans will not be able to get a tickets or have to pay a massive price through the STHs that sell them on for a profit.

LCFC THIS IS SO WRONG because: what are you doing about your LOYAL supporters? LOYAL is not just STHs. STHs are people that fund the club up front and should be given something extra...........not all the blooming tickets............

LOYAL is 1) the person who saves every little penny to be able to afford to go to a single match;

2) the person who works shifts and cannot go to every home match but lives for the club

3) the expats who travel miles to see their club but have not use for a ST

4) the single parent who puts their kids first and again can only afford a few games......................................

all these people as well as the STHs are LOYAL SUPPORTERS.....THIS TICKETING SYSTEM IS NOT FAIR...............PLEASE DO NOT DO THE SAME IF WE GET TO WEMBLEY (and yes, I am not a STH because I live abroad, but everyone who knows me, knows I live and breathe for my club and travel many thousands of miles to see them. I KNOW I AM LOYAL)

season ticket holders can suck a massive one as far as I'm concerned. they cry like kids about the club doing ticket, pie & pint deals or about any other sort of offer for non season ticket holders.

the bottom line is they already get a good deal by getting to go to the games much cheaper. why do they always want more more more? many of them have this tiny mentality whereby they don't want to see NSTH get a good deal occasionally. very bizarre. they don't just want the best deal, they also want to be seen to be the best fans, it's pretty weak.

I guess if you don't have anything in your life but leicester city then maybe there should be a slight reward from the club, that reward is cheaper tickets overall.

I'm a STH, i didn't ask for extra tickets? and I doubt many people did ask to buy extra tickets. The club offered them to us, so why don't you direct your whiney little temper to the people who make these decisions rather than the ones who contribute £300 every year to YOUR club.

You're a whining one.

You knew when you purchased seats in that section that you may have to move should there be a big cup game.

You can still buy a ticket should you be happy to get off your arris and phone the club.

It isn't difficult as proven by the fact you got one on Monday.

It is not about STHs getting tickets first. Of course they should. It is about the number allocated per STH if required. I get the point that by selling to STHs that amount should be then given/sold to family and friends, but there are people out there who have bought their allocation and selling them at profit to anyone......of course, this could also happen on general sale too. The point is that the fans who go regularly as members or pay on the gates are likely to miss out and I would eat my blomin hat if this fixture is not a sell out!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.........for all the reasons above, buying a season ticket is not always an option. Being a STH is not the be all and end all of being a loyal fan.

You're right but just how do the club identify who the real fans are?

Do you show how many games you've been to this season

Do you show how many games you went to last season as you're a bit skint this season.

Show petrol receipts

Show train tickets

Show how long it takes to get to a game.

After that there would still be people moaning that they are 'loyal' and haven't got a ticket.

It has always been the way that ST holders get first dibs.

Its also not that easy as proven by my mates on monday. Of course I was aware but that doesn't mean the club couldn't allow us to have our own priority period.

Is this large al on a second account? He has a habit of commenting on things he knows nothing about.

Not against St getting first dibs at all. Its the numbers. Why make such a large number? Normal matches run the same way, STs, then members, then general......it could have easily been done by 2 tks per STH, then the rest follow on. Its the same for away matches.....totally fair that STHs get priority. However, I take onboard an earlier comment that doing it this way could still leave plenty of tickets for friday members and monday general sale......but I still think they will be in very short supply if this is the case as members also get six tickets too. I have secured tickets through friends as I am only a member, so this is not a personal gripe, but an overall disappointment in the system......which in my opinion could have been done better

I'm going to sound a bit cnutish now but I could move abroad or away from Leicestershire but refuse because I want to see Leicester play.

yep thats cruntish lol......i did not move by choice and would move back tomorrow for the footie, if that was an option, but it is not.
