Six Tickets per Season Ticket Holder is so wrong

Recommended Posts

Because many many fans will not be able to get a tickets or have to pay a massive price through the STHs that sell them on for a profit.

LCFC THIS IS SO WRONG because: what are you doing about your LOYAL supporters? LOYAL is not just STHs. STHs are people that fund the club up front and should be given something extra...........not all the blooming tickets............

LOYAL is 1) the person who saves every little penny to be able to afford to go to a single match;

2) the person who works shifts and cannot go to every home match but lives for the club

3) the expats who travel miles to see their club but have not use for a ST

4) the single parent who puts their kids first and again can only afford a few games......................................

all these people as well as the STHs are LOYAL SUPPORTERS.....THIS TICKETING SYSTEM IS NOT FAIR...............PLEASE DO NOT DO THE SAME IF WE GET TO WEMBLEY (and yes, I am not a STH because I live abroad, but everyone who knows me, knows I live and breathe for my club and travel many thousands of miles to see them. I KNOW I AM LOYAL)

If a few more people had turned up to Fulham they probably wouldn't have done it. Or are we meant to believe all of the above mentioned loyal supporters suddenly have saved up enough to go to a game, suddenly aren't on shifts and suddenly don't have to put their kids first?... When we play Man City.

As it is, the club know exactly how many STH's turned up for Fulham. And I'd imagine it was the vast majority there. And thus decided it was worth targeting that group of people to raise sales. All they are interested in is filling the ground, not that big dave die hard leicester fan is not on shift that night or not feeding his kids for the week and now wants to go.

Out of our three season tickets we have bought 1 extra ticket. And I'd imagine most people are only getting the odd one.

No I'm sorry. I've worked since I was doing a-levels so I could afford a season ticket. We've had 3 season tickets since '94. Are you going to call me disloyal because I have a season ticket and don't have to scrape together every penny?

I get what you're saying, but this question of loyalty can't be divided into who's got an ST, or who buys their tickets individually.

From the clubs perspective, they would want to reward season ticket holders as they bring in a guaranteed stream of revenue.

I bet people wouldn't be moaning about this is we were playing Hull or someone.

It'll still make general sale, don't worry.

Personally found it a bit strange to begin with but it should limit the amount of non-LCFC fans there, providing STHs only give their +1/2/3/4/5 to other Leicester fans.

Will also boost the atmosphere if large groups of mates are all grouped together.

I took the extra five on both of my season tickets. The tickets were given to lads I know will give SK1 a boost.

So, you love the club but can't get to every game? Just use the money to go to a different game, it's not rocket science.

as an independant (eg i cant have a season ticket and cant just randomly go to games) the number does seem a little high. 6 seems excessive, 4 wouldve been more than fair i wouldve thought.

Four would give the ST holders a little something extra to say thanks, but might have meant a few more newbies might go. Who knows... those "glory hunters/Plastic fans" might have enjoyed themselves and decided to go along more often and even become ST holders?

Six just seems excessive

i've only taken an extra 2 off mine, but got them for 2 guys who had been to the previous home cup ties and aren't ST holders

season ticket holders can suck a massive one as far as I'm concerned. they cry like kids about the club doing ticket, pie & pint deals or about any other sort of offer for non season ticket holders.

the bottom line is they already get a good deal by getting to go to the games much cheaper. why do they always want more more more? many of them have this tiny mentality whereby they don't want to see NSTH get a good deal occasionally. very bizarre. they don't just want the best deal, they also want to be seen to be the best fans, it's pretty weak.

I guess if you don't have anything in your life but leicester city then maybe there should be a slight reward from the club, that reward is cheaper tickets overall.

I probably have views somewhere in the middle of this argument. I was a season ticket holder for 22 years, even when living in Portsmouth and London for 15 of them.  And this included a spell of missing only 8 games in 5 years, home and away.

However, I now live up near Manchester and have 3 kids so don't get to anything like every game.  But, we still go to about 15 games a season, including a number of away games, as we just can't get to every game due to money and time commitments.

But, I LOVE Leicester City - always have, always will, and they are still a massively important part of my life.

I think the loyalty to current season ticket holders is great and justifiable, these are the ones who have currently invested most in the club at the moment, but think perhaps 3 or 4 tickets would have been better.  Having said that, I imagine this will still make general sale.  And I've always had the view that anything we do to fill the ground is fantastic.

But, I do agree that when the club introduce things like this, it might at some point mean that I can't get a ticket to a big match.  And that would really annoy me when I've supported them and gone to their matches for the past 34 years - surely my loyalty and attendance over all those years justifies a play-off final ticket, or big cup ticket, as opposed to or certainly as well as, "newcomers" who've only supported the club for a couple of years.

I'm not knocking any of those people either - they can't help being younger than me!  Just saying that loyal supporters aren't just those who currently have season tickets.

I know the club have no way of knowing all these things, but it's just a reminder to everyone that, just because you're a season ticket holder, it doesn't necessarily mean you're more committed or any better or worse fan than the rest of us - circumstances are different, that's all.

I'd imagine that many ST holders are like myself, I live in London so can't make midweek matches or most games that aare moved for TV.

Take those games out the equation and I'm paying more, a lot more, than you do for a match ticket.

It hasn't made financial sense for me to buy a season ticket for the last 8 years (since my lad was born) but I continue with it to guarantee tickets for away games and cup games like this.

So suck it yourself.

I don't have a season ticket but I've only missed one home game this season, and I was at the Fulham game.

Why do season ticket holder's friends deserve tickets more than me?

Theyre not rewarding all STHs though with this. L and N have been royally fcuked over. Sure its known that you have to give up your seats if theres a big cup following but these STHs have had just as much chance getting a ticket for this as Joe public who happen to know a STH. That's wrong.

It's not that hard. I don't have a season ticket as I don't live in Leicestershire any more and won't be able to get to enough games due to work and family commitments. I'll be away for the QF, but my son and a pal want to go, and a friend who is a season ticket holder is getting them two tickets. Surely some kind season ticket holders on here could secure tickets for those in a similar position with just a little bit of co-ordination. T'internet makes this stuff easy

Are you saying that ST holders in L and N don't have the option of buying 6 tickets for the game?

No they do but they have no seat reserved and have to ring up and relocate their seat which then becomes a fsstest finger 1st to try and get relocated in your preffered block. Because of this method many of L block will now be in the kop such is the disorganisation.

For the record I've used two of my 6 available tickets.

L1 etc moving isn't 100% down to the club though is it? It's the cup so we have to move some part of the season tickets around. Would you want them to move the kids?

This whole argument is fairly petty.

No wonder the club doesn't very offer fans any form of incentive, whenever they try something, someone is always there to moan why they don't care.

So they are rewarding all ST holders then.

If people want to take 5 mates they'll have to move as well.

Stop moaning you've got a seat guaranted.

Agreed

I cant really see what the issue is (although 3-4 tickets would perhaps have been fairer than 6).  However, the tickets are not free, they still have to be paid for (you get nothing for nothing in this world), and there will still be tickets for general sale.  I am sure many ST holders will not be purchasing additional tickets ( I know I haven't for myself and my daughter).

You're not getting me are you? I only have a seat guarenteed because i had to ring up first thing monday to reloxate. I couldnt wait til the last day of ST sales like a Kop STH can. If I did this I'd risk not getting a seat at all.

To look at it another way two of my mates in l still haven't sorted their tickets yet. They could ring up today to find its all sold out
