Six Tickets per Season Ticket Holder is so wrong

Recommended Posts

Call me a cvnt but id rather give my Other season tickets to friends I know who can't make every game than the ticket be available for some glory supporting Man UTD, Chelsea or Liverpool fan who wants to go to the game just because it's Man City playing and there is big players playing.

I think this idea is fine so long as its done in a proper way! If for example, the scheme is rolled out as it was against Fulham where we couldn't get any more than 20, 000 in to the stadium then fair enough but they should give it a few days of general sale first before they make that decision. I'm fairly confident when I say that we have 17, 000 season ticket holders, if every one of those where to attend and request the 6 tickets for their 6 guests then that's 102, 000 people! That's mental! As I've said, I'm all for the scheme as a stadium filler but doing it for games like city v man city is ridiculous, the non regulars will attend that game!

And that's 100% the right thing to do!

You're not getting me are you? I only have a seat guarenteed because i had to ring up first thing monday to reloxate. I couldnt wait til the last day of ST sales like a Kop STH can. If I did this I'd risk not getting a seat at all.

To look at it another way two of my mates in l still haven't sorted their tickets yet. They could ring up today to find its all sold out

Why didn't your mates phone up on Monday?

It didn't make any difference how many tickets ST holders were given you'd still have had to move.

We hold 4 season tickets and have purchased 8 tickets.

3 off which have gone to a relative who has supported the city for 30 odd years, often whilst traveling up from london or essex but last year due to finances and his boys education had to give up the 3 season tickets they have held since we moved to the Walkers/KP.

I know i maybe in the minority but I have sold all 4 on at face value and to people who support the city even if it be from afar.

They couldn't get through!

Sure we'd still have to move but you'd get a couple of extra days grace as fewer tickets could potentially be sold. My point in my OP in this thread was to say that its not all sweetness and light for every ST which is what the bloke I'd quoted thought.

The club should've allowed a couple of days prior to other ST sales for L and N block to relocate. That would mean 1. Every STH in this situation would have been guarenteed a seat in the general area that they wanted as well as knowing youd be actually able to get thriugh to the TO.

Instead, short of going to queue up on the Monday its become a lottery (down to our shit website and equally shite telesales) whether a couple of thousand STHs can even get a ticket

6 is a weird number (I haven't even got 6 mates) I just took advantage and got an extra 1 and even then I couldn't get it next to my season ticket seat.

Same here. The potential of local big club 'fans' filling our home end makes my skin crawl.

I think I read somewhere there are bout 15000 season ticket holder with a capacity of bout 32000 if u take out the away support for the man city game probably left with bout 27000 tickets so evan if every season ticket holder brought an extra 1 that would to my maths not make general sale for the ppl like me who have supported lcfc for 24 yrs and that has always lived 200miles away, so how is it fair for ppl like us,

I don't have a season ticket but I've only missed one home game this season, and I was at the Fulham game.

Why do season ticket holder's friends deserve tickets more than me?

They don't, I never said they did.

But the facts are, the vast majority who went against Fulham were season ticket holders. If more non STH's had shown a bit more interest in that game, then perhaps the club wouldn't have looked at STH's to try and shift these tickets for them.

The club are only interested in shifting the tickets.

I'm at a loss as to how you can get 6 tickets for the Man City game with only 1 ST!

I'm in N1 cos I take my lad nowadays and obviously we have to move for this fixture, which is fine btw, but it looks like we won't be able to sit with my mates etc. that all have to move too as there are only groups of 4-5 seats in the higher priced seating near the media etc.

The point is not about the loyalty of STHs.  It is about the daft allocation that encourages touting, and touting to not only Man City fans but other fans who just want to see that club play.  ie.... already people are selling their tickets for a huge profit to non Leicester fans.  Allocations may still be available for general sale, but it may also sell out even before memberships on Friday.  The maths just do not add up.

I am not a STH because I live in the Middle East.  However, I flew home for the Fulham match.  SOME STHs didnt bother buying a tickets....................who is the biggest fan here???????????

I have been able to get mates to get me a ticket.  I will always get a ticket by hook or by crook, but this still does not make it right for what I said in the original statement that LOYAL fans are NOT just STHs and that circumstances determine wether you are an STH or not.

STHs should have priority.  They should have perks..........maybe cheaper tickets...............maybe 2 or 3 extra tickets...............but 6 is just plainly ridiculous.  Why not let STHs have 2 tickets then they can always purchase more come general sale if they want more.

I was a STH for years before I became an expat.  I am not knocking STHs at all.  I am saying the club need to recognise that the fans are not ALL STHs and the LOYAL fans are NOT just STHs either.

If this was reversed and we were playing at Man City and their fans had been given 6 tickets each for STH holders, then I know for a fact that I would be doing my utmost best to get a ticket through one of them at an inflatable price, if I knew I could not get one for the away game.  I did exactly the same for the Watford away game last season in the play offs.  Because I am not STH, I went on their web forums and begged someone to get me a ticket.  As it turned out I got 2 for their end at a very high price, then managed to get 2 for our end at another inflated price, but hey ho, I was happy..............well not at the end, obviously.

There will be SOME non LCFC fans buying up these tickets which will not enhance the atmosphere!

Surely the fact that they're going to ST holders means they are being bought up by fans no? :dunno:

For the record I think 6 per STH is overkill and of our 4 STs we've only bought an extra 3 tickets all for city fans.

Babylon raises a good point earlier though about the Fulham match and the fact that City just want to guarantee shifting tickets.

This bit makes you look a bit of a tw@t.

I'm a season ticket holder and chose not to go to the fulham game, the same as I chose not to go to the Derby game, the same as I didn't go to the Burton game last year, I didn't go to the spurs game many years ago.

I commit to 2 season tickets every year and can't always justify the extra cost of additional cup tickets on top of following the team away whenever I can. I see Derby play every season and chose not to go watch us when I thought there was a chance of us fielding a weakened side and losing, already been stung by that last season as Huddersfield.

I'm going down to support Leicester, not watch Man City, the same as I went to Wycombe to support the team. But sometimes I have to be selective with the cup games. But surely everyone has a choice.

I agree 6 tickets is a stupidly high number, even 1 would have filled the ground before general sale. However, the problem with Leicester is our hardcore fan base isn't enough to fill our ground on a regular basis, so of course the club will do whatever they can to fill it for ties like this.

We had a near sell out for Scunthorpe ffs, when we lifted the L1 title, but where were those 8k extra every week?

I admire you for traveling back from the middle east where you can, I have to say if I lived in Cornwall I'm not sure i would want to commit to the travel that often.

But who's the biggest fan, really, how did you end up in the middle east aged 12.

OK, maybe that remark on being the 'biggest fan' was not a correct statement to make.  However, I am no tw@t.  Again, maybe the point was, it does not make me any less loyal than an STH.  Thats the way I should have put it.  I am a lot older than 12 and very able to state that that remark was silly in those terms!

Posted

I get what you're saying, but this question of loyalty can't be divided into who's got an ST, or who buys their tickets individually.

I am saying just that...........it should not be divided.  The club have divided the loyalty.  At no stage am I saying that STHs are not loyal.  Just stating a fact that just because of whatever circumstances there are, non STHs can be just as loyal.

I totally agree with the need to fill the stadium.  But it is a fact unfortunately that a few STHs are selling on their added allocation to non LCFC fans for a profit.  Even to sell to anyone for a profit is bad, but to non blues, is ridiculous and it is happening.

Got to agree with the original post, I have been to every cup game this season, travelling from Hull. I am a student and obviously cant afford to travel to Leicester every weekend. How is it fair if I dont get a ticket?

If it's only a few then it won't make the slightest difference then really will it.
