RonnieTodger Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 I can't believe I've read this. I don't think it should qualify as one, without it being a friday night game on TV. Whatever "rivalry" there was in the stands is on its knees. Not been on a while, apologies if anyone has already posted about it.
Kitchandro Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 But I thought our owners were great? Unacceptable.
Fox92 Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Not suprised as I thought games against the likes of Forest, Derby and even Leeds(?) were platinum. Might be wrong. Think the owners might be suprised with the turn out, especially with it being Friday and on television.

Games against Derby don't anymore.
Voll Blau Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 But I thought our owners were great? Unacceptable. I know, let's give 'em a big clap in the 40th minute. That's one minute for every pound being charged to sit in J3.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Despite there being no rivalry anymore, should be a good game.
purpleronnie Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 I know, let's give 'em a big clap in the 40th minute. That's one minute for every pound being charged to sit in J3. :xmaslaugh:
Guest Bilo Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 Laughable decision. If anything, it should be a Fans' Fixture or be a Leicester Mercury offer.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 December 2013 Posted 26 December 2013 That is embarrassing really. Should be cheap to get people in, surely instances in the past have proved to people that fans wont go at those prices, especially when its not a Saturday 3pm game
Dan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 I know, let's give 'em a big clap in the 40th minute. That's one minute for every pound being charged to sit in J3. lol
billyn88 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Really silly decision - a cold January Friday night with the game on Sky? Normally there is probably a business case (even if it doesn't benefit supporters) to charge more to fewer fans but I just can't see it here. It would be lucky to push 20k - I imagine Derby fans will be put off by the prices as well, especially as (for them) its a second rate local derby.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 It's just one of those games id not go to no if i didnt have a st. Stupid prices
Dan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 It really is absolutely ridiculous and as much as I've praised the owners for learning from their mistakes in certain cases, they just fail to with this one. Which utter idiot even decides this?
Fox92 Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 They should be looking to attract people in with somewhat cheaper prices every game, but even more so against the likes of Derby and Nottingham Forest... I still see Derby as bigger rivals than Forest personally because of the history with the play offs... It should be a good game, Derby are doing alright, was hoping they might fill it with their current run and we might have a near-full capacity but prices are still ridiculous. Especially considering it's on television on a cold, January night. People have the easier option of sitting at home or sitting in the pub and watching it.
Voll Blau Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Despite there being no rivalry anymore, should be a good game. To say there's no rivalry is ridiculous. There's plenty who beating the sheep still matters to.
LCFC FOX Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Derby have been charged with £32 for adults... shocking
Dan Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 It'll be about 23k tops with about 1,500 from them. In a game between two rivals, with it looking like being a top 4 clash at worst. Depressing.
glen parva fox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 Don't care what they charge Derby fans, they have done the same to us. would be nice to give home fans discount though.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 December 2013 Posted 27 December 2013 We'll need to get behind them for this match its huge. Hopefully if we beat them itll send them on a bad run as usual. I'd rather have the 8k fans from the Boro game with those noise levels than 20odd k and a dull atmosphere Id
Neil_LCFC Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 Even more ridiculous than Derby being a platinum fixture, it says on the OS that Watford at home is a platinum fixture !! since when has Watford been a big game for us ? We didn't change Cardiff to a platinum fixture after they knocked us out the playoffs so can see no reason for this whatsoever.
Goosefatmonkey Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 Has anybody upgraded their tickets to fosse club for derby game? I have today and has cost me and my mates an extra £17 each which I think is crazy. We usually sit in B1 by the away dug out and decided to upgrade for this game . The sales at club told me that ticket prices for fosse club for this game are £55. We pay as season ticket holders £38 per game in b1. I'm thought we were watching leicester not Brazil. Are the club trying to rip us loyal fans off especially when it's on sky aswell
Robo61 Posted 6 January 2014 Posted 6 January 2014 Yes ticket prices are high for this game but I am somewhat confused about your complaint. You already had a ticket to see the game but you have upgraded even though you feel the price was too high. Why??
