Match day prices are shocking but you surely had a choice not to upgrade.

Yes ticket prices are high for this game but I am somewhat confused about your complaint. You already had a ticket to see the game but you have upgraded even though you feel the price was too high. Why??

Yes we did have a choice but we also had a choice to stay at home and watch on sky. Yes we paid the extra but that's cos we fans. At least we can see where we gunna sit next year for £1000

Foxes fans have even more reason to be part of Friday night's East Midlands clash against Derby County, with an additional batch of great-value tickets now available for the game.

With the Kop and the Family Stand fast approaching capacity, the Club has extended its entry-level Just The Ticket sections into it's neighbouring blocks in C1 and A2, giving fans an even better chance to be part of one of the games of the season at King Power Stadium.

It's the first home game of 2014 for table-topping City and, against our fellow promotion hopefuls from the iPro Stadium, there should be a cracking Friday-night atmosphere in store.

And with our Just The Ticket sections now extended for the game, you could pick up a terrific seat at a really affordable price.

Tickets in our extended Just The Ticket section are priced £26 for Adults, £24 for Seniors and £16 for Under-18s - a saving of up to £7-a-ticket compared with normal C1/A2 prices.

So kick off your weekend with the Sky Bet Championship leaders at King Power Stadium, as Nigel Pearson's Leicester City bid to continue their quest for promotion to the Premier League.

Buying your tickets for the Derby game...

Online: Buy your tickets 24-hours-a-day from www.lcfcdirect.com.

Dear oh dear people moan about this being a platinum fixture. Better get use to it because if we go up nearly all games next season will be platinum fixtures especially against the likes of Chelsea, Manure, Aresnal Man City etc.

Stupid comparison which misses the point by a mile

Even with that 'just the ticket' option (not sure how much it usually is?), a standard family of two adults and two under-18's are looking at £84 just to get into the ground. That excludes the cost of travel, and possibly more (food, drink, merchandise etc).

Which results in a post which I've quoted below. It's sad; a fan priced out of a home game, a big home game. We're top of the league, the local rivals are coming to town on a good run themselves. Would be a great night with a (near) full stadium again. The pricing is ridiculous, especially for a game on television. Although I live outside of Leicestershire as well, I'm privileged to be a season ticket holder, but I can see why people would choose the option of staying in and watching it on television and saving the cash for another fixture.

Simply just too much for me with travel.

Officially priced out.

I find it really bizarre that this game remains Platinum when it's been moved for TV and we've had a boost in crowds in the last two home games, helped by good results and cheaper tickets.

If they are going to make it more expensive then why not choose QPR or something near the end of the season, when people won't have shelled out for Christmas two weeks before?

Let's be honest, our derbies aren't that great and we'll have plenty of bigger matches and crowds should we get promoted.

lol be surprised if they are in charge of grading home fixtures

Whilst they might not be directly in charge of it, it's not exactly out of their control.

If they think they'll get a slight bit more money (even marginal) then they'll do it, even at the expense of a far better crowd. They're absolutely greedy and have proved it on a number of occasions.

The difference is in the prem, this is what you'd expect to pay.

A Friday night, on tv just after Christmas? More people would be able to watch the game, whilst spending £30 on a night out. There's so much more to think about money wise than just buying a match ticket for your average person. A couple of pints and pie with a programe, there's an extra £10/12 meaning it's cost you £45 when it could've been easily avoided.

It's their club isn't it?

If they don't think it's their business to oversee that part of the club then they bloody should do.

If they thought they could sell 1 ticket for £500,000 that's how much tickets would cost.

It's pretty obvious, not only from pricing that the club aren't interested in having a big loud crowd.

I'm pretty sure it's the head of ticketing that sorts the pricing, but obviously he has a boss and has to meet certain requirements.
