FoxesTalk Awards 2013

It's been an eventful year on FoxesTalk, with an eclectic mix of the giddy highs and the sobering lows throughout. Who could forget January, winning 5 on the bounce conceding just 2 goals? Alas, the next few months saw a regretful slump on and off the internet, with the forum often descending into a war of attrition between disagreeing factions on Pearson. The month of May put being a Leicester fan into a nutshell, with the euphoria of the 4th and 9th complimented by the harrowing afternoon on the 12th, as our eventful season came to a close.

Summer came and the Pearson question dominated in a paucity of issues, with only FFP and a slight management restructure to discuss away from big Nige.

A glaring lack of headline-making transfer activity had been made redundant by the end of the window, with shrewd (and cheap) additions joining the Blue Army. For whatever reason, pre-season saw many sharpening their knives, disappointing by a lack of signings and short of belief in the white-trainered man at the helm.

As the season got underway, it was as you were, as the Foxes and the FoxesTalkers were back in business, showing our dark sides with the Boro first half performance, and equivalently, the first few pages of the Middlesbrough Match Thread. Since then we haven't looked back, appearing to exorcise demon after demon, like winning away, coming from behind, and finally beating Millwall and Reading. Pearson has undoubtedly silenced a huge number of his critics, proving them wrong week after week,

As we come to the end of the year, the Foxes sit assuredly in one of the seats in the automatic promotion race. Nothing new under Pearson of course, but all that is left for us to do, is hope with everything we have that the second half of this season does not resemble the equivalent period of last season.

FoxesTalkers, who on the forum has done the most for you this year? Who has made you laugh, cry, shout etc?

Add categories and nominations as you like. Off the top of my head we could do:

Best Poster

Worst Poster

Biggest WUM

Best Thread

Worst Thread

Funniest Poster

Best Post

...and I'm sure there are other good ones. Go nuts.

Last but not by any means least, let's not forget the people who make FoxesTalk happen. :appl::worship:  Massive thanks to Mark, all the Admins, Mods and of course all of you lovely Blues, and here's to more great FoxesTalking in 2014! However infuriating, hilarious, controversial, depressing or ridiculous it might be...

Best thread for me has to be when our Ken (Rincewind) 'disappeared' . Genuine concern for him there was and showed the best of FT. He was tracked down to being in hospital -I even stalked him to the exact floor he was on but of course didn't post it publicly! lol

can we have the unfunniest poster award?

Can only be Kingfox. God only knows why he thinks he's funny.....

Actually, it's got to be this cracker before the play-off second leg:

This is it then, without a doubt one of the biggest days for the club in the last decade. A goal up and 90 minutes from Wembley. I don't usually get too affected by nerves but I must say I feel like I might do at least 2 poos today in the run up to the game. On any typical day I would do no more than one, normally at tea time, or sometimes in the morning if I've eaten minced beef the night before. Suggest everyone sticks to a vegetable based diet today, otherwise I can see some of you embarrassing yourself later. Shitting yourself can wreck families and it can ruin relationships, it's a hideous crime, and I'm here to stamp it out.

I always read any topic in which I can see Finnegan was the last poster. I disagree with probably more than half of it but it's always well-written and that counts for a lot for me.

Same applies for Dan LCFC on the main forum and MattP in General Chat. Also, top marks for SPAG go to Kitchandro and Corky.

In fact, best spelling, punctuation and grammar should definitely be a category.

DavieG used to run this in gen chat but for some reason it stopped.

I was going to ask this question last week. Used to like the end of year voting.

A lot for best poster - Year of the fox, MattP, Steve_Walsh(under new username I think nowadays), DanLCFC, Bert...

Can only be Kingfox. God only knows why he thinks he's funny.....

I'm a poor TBJS.

I'm not everyone's cup of tea.

But a few get a laugh out of me.
