Millwall vs. Leicester Match thread

Drinky did look very tired towards the end of the Bolton game.

De Laet  I thought would need game time but perhaps too much to soon is not good.

Guess it also gives Millwall something to think about since I bet they had planned to play against the Bolton team minus Vardy of course.

Just have to wait and see since football is so unpredictable.

Same people moaning about the team are probably the same ones saying he shouldn't rest anyone for the Stoke game. Let's play our best 11 every week regardless of them being knackered!

I am saying bugger the stoke game

Well, mixed feelings about that. If we don't score from a set piece today with Moore, Morgan, Wasilewski, Miquel, Hammond, King and Nugent all up for set pieces then quite frankly, we never will.

Why drop one of our quickest and actually most attacking players. Thought de laet has been pretty good since he came back. Was at rb will be a disaster!

Team selection is a bit of a strange one.  Why mess about with a team thats won 3 on the bounce? Vardy excluded I dont see why hes changed it.  If hes gonna mess about with the side or feel the need to rest players then do it next week V Stoke in a game that doesn't really count!

Vardy is suspended.

Thought the stoke game wouldve been the one to rest a few. After today certain players would have got 9 days rest then. Oh well, we'll see how good or bad NP's judgement is.

something tell's me that Pearson is expecting a scrappy game with this line up!

Exactly what I was thinking, Pearson has clearly gone with a more robust and strong team for this one....hopefully it works! Im really intrigued by this move...5 changes since the last match!

Larry_LCFC - Moore can move into RB and swap with Was if it doesnt work straight away.

Milwall aren't a pacey side in the slightest so De Laet and Vardy might not be missed as much as we think (hopefully). If we score today it'll be because of Dyer, who I imagine will give Dunne the shits every time he runs at him

Means we've got a very strong bench if required. A shame Wood is out as he'd be playing.

These players need to step up, show what they are about and give the manager plenty of confident players to choose from.

He's gone experimental before on New Years against Palace two years ago. Worked then.

Liam Moore's debut. Had a stormer.

Wasyl at CB please for the love of god.

Other than that it's still a fairly strong team on paper. Still playing our best formation and our main attacking threats of Knocky and Dyer are on the pitch.

I'd have played RDL and James and subbed them off if they were tired (not that either of them really should be), and probably started Waghorn ahead of GTF.

I predict a 1-1, them equalising fairly late on after Wasyl gets himself sent off for a wild lunge followed by a bit of push and shove around the 65 minute mark.

Millwall are 18/5 to win on BetVictor, absolutely outrageous that. We always struggle there, sacked manager syndrome and horrific weather. Very tempting.

Today we will see whether the squad is strong enough.

We have a good first 11... have we got a good enough squad?

Time to see...

Clever team selection for me. Rest plenty, can extend that rest for Stoke, if required, and have a lot of fresh and rejuvenated players for Derby. I also think last season we ran out of options to change things in the slump at the end of the season as so many players hadn't played due to continuous same team selection. For me, you have to play these squad players at some point as we will need them before the season is out.

Skybet have millwall 2-0 @ 20/1. Decent price for me as you never know what Leicester will turn up away from home. Especially with the selection and conditions.

I know it was a cup game but your squad players mixed with some first teamers beat fulham
