Why oh why drop Drinkwater and James who have been awesome??

Hammond has shown nothing yet, and you never know which Andy King you're going to get.

Yeah I'm sure he's dropped them based on them playing poorly

Isn't this the first game Drinky's not started, 28 games.

Brave selection, hope it pays off. Surprised that James is out, Drinkwater not so much as he's played every game and is probably carrying a knock or two.

Two biggest threats in Knockaert and Dyer are playing, hoping that King who played at Watford turns up today.

Team selection is a bit of a strange one.  Why mess about with a team thats won 3 on the bounce? Vardy excluded I dont see why hes changed it.  If hes gonna mess about with the side or feel the need to rest players then do it next week V Stoke in a game that doesn't really count!

Because DD tends to play every single game, he can't do that.

De Laet is coming back from injury, Konchesky is aging, DD plays every game. Only one I find puzzling is James as he's not played half the games this year.

NP places great emphasis on sports science, they will know who needs a rest.

He's gone experimental before on New Years against Palace two years ago. Worked then.

That was on the back of a poor run and dire performances though.

We've fielded almost the same 11 over the festive period. Clearly some players need a rest, every team selection is a gamble. If we come away with 3 pts then well done Nige!!

The one word I would use to describe Andy King is consistent. Don't think I've ever seen him have a really bad game. Had plenty of quiet ones but he's goes about his business without any fuss. He's a perfectly solid choice.

Didn't say that, did I?

I reckon we'll be outmuscled, like we often are away from home against physical sides.

It's a busy period and if we have a decent squad we should cope. This is not only our 4th game in 12 days but also Millwall's and I'd like to think our squad player's are better than theirs. Plenty of physical strength in the team with a strong back 4, Hammond in midfield and GTF upfront. Added to some pace and trickery out wide - this might be a good selection - certainly feel DD, MJ and Konch deserve a rest.

We burn't out last season, he need to protect players and is more than likely expecting Millwall to try and bully us, also sounds like the conditions aren't ideal for free following football.

This is basically the same squad (minus Vardy) that we have used for a long time. It is a squad game and these lads will be well up for it. It is an opportunity to stake a claim and also a chance to keep the run going for the TEAM. Come on city!!!!!!!

Well I think it's pretty self explanatory why he's dropped them. Regardless of them playing awesome which I'm sure Pearson is well aware of, they need a rest. I'd have preferred it to have been against Stoke but he'll know the condition of the players more than us
