Vlad the Fox Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 woolacombe is ok but croyde is where its at! Croyde is nice. Great beach for the kids as well which is typical for the area anyway.
izzetafox? Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 Croyde has a reputation, but when I went there it was rubbish! I'll have to go again sometimeGot a holiday home there been going all my life, surfed croyde, woolacombe, Saunton and puts and have to admit I prefer saunton but croyde village is beautiful, and a bit more unspoilt than woolacombe so that's why I prefer it, I'm not good enough at surfing to appreciate the big waves!

Leicester_Numan Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 In a few years time, Bentleys Roof will die of ageing. I can already guess who the guy with the bitter attitude towards Foxestalk is. Highly likely somebody who got banned on here a short while back. I was thinking the same thing
foxes1988 Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 I can understand why people still say it, we have chucked shit loads at it. But we haven't really done that under Pearson. Thing is though, that is quite a long time. Pearson is the second longest serving manager in the Championship, behind only Chris Powell who's future now looks uncertain after they were bought out. I can't admit to knowing everything about all the other clubs in the Championship but before making comments like that I would check my argument actually stands up. We have still spent under Pearson but equally we have cut back as well. I think as most clubs cannot afford to sign players for anything more then a nominal fee any club that does is known as a big spender, due to old green eyed monster. It wouldn't surprise me for Huddersfield be called big spenders as they brought that Wells lad for more then a million.
MC Prussian Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 The bitter reactions and sometimes sour grapes, the admin thing from more than ten years ago will cease to be an argument once we're guaranteed promotion (should it occur : fc:). Then they're most likely to divert their attention to some of the clubs right behind us in the table.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 burnley are starting to crumble Getting a lot of draws, they played really well against QPR though and probably unfortunate not to have won...
Deucalion Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 burnley are starting to crumble To match their hight street !!

Is that the Saunton Sands as they are known? I haven't been down in that region for 2 years now and I do remember Croyde being nice on a warm Summer day! haha I can stand on the board for a matter of seconds on the big waves
Corky Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 I can understand why people still say it, we have chucked shit loads at it. But we haven't really done that under Pearson. It's two years ago, we cut down on our spending and got rid of the highest earners. Not saying we are paying peanuts but we certainly aren't trouncing all other clubs with our outlay.

Not saying we are paying peanuts but we certainly aren't trouncing all other clubs with our outlay. What I don't like about the 'buying the league' tag is it implies we spend more on our players than anyone else. In our League I imagine at least QPR, Forest, Wigan, Bolton, Reading, and possibly Birmingham are all at a similar or higher level of spending to us.

There's only about 10 of them anyway, it can't be too hard.
