Finally, The Championship fear Leicester City!

To be fair Reid is a very good player at this level. Technically gifted.

Of course he is.

Just because he's a Forest player, don't mean you can't rate him. I've always liked Lansbury too. Forest will finish in the top 6 IMO.

Do these fans from other clubs even know what we have done over the two and a half years Pearsons been here?!?

Firstly, spending money to go up...nige got rid of beckford, mills, danns, Fernandez etc and replaced them with cheaper younger talent. In total he's spent less than most managers in this division !! Drinky, James, de laet and Vardy, Morgan 1 million each. Knocky just under a million. Moore from the youth team and konch, ks were already here!! Our starting eleven is just under 6 million!!

Secondly, this has been tag - yes we have experienced pros, so does every team in the world. How about the fact that we two under 25's in the centre mid positions a under 21 at centre back and a up and coming rb.

They really need to do there research. I'm glad we are on this side for once not on the bitter twisted side watching mundane boring in imaginative football wishing we had some of the class the team sitting top have!

if they're real quotes I dont blame them. I never fancy us to win a league game. 'Expect the worst n hope for the best' is my motto for city.

Some of our fans never learn with confidence bordering on arrogance which will bite us in the arse one day

To be fair most people wouldn't look at anyone in our squad because they're not very well known. We all know how good James, Drinkwater, Vardy, De Laet etc. have been this season but they're not particularly household names. Schmeichel, Nugent and Konchesky are probably the best known players in our squad.

They have some weird ideas about us being a small club.

Fair play, we aren't Real Madrid. I'm not even sure we're in the top four of the biggest clubs.

But behind all this lot, boys? Really?

Birmingham
Blackburn
Bolton

Brighton
Derby
Leeds
Middlesbrough
Notts Forest
QPR
Reading

I don't think anybody sane and/or objective would claim we're a smaller club than any of those I've helpfully marked in green.

"there is an illusion surrounding them that they "play good football" etc, but if they believe they can play us off the pitch, we'll have a piss easy game."

"Either tongue in cheek, big headed or just ignorant."

These two quotes of theirs raised a smile. I love how people think 'Nigel Pearson? Must be hoofball' and then call us ignorant.

You accidentally highlighted Derby twice, so they showed up like a big club...

There's a case for Blackburn being a bigger club but everyone else? Nah.

I bet we have more season ticket holders than half of the championship clubs average attendance.

Awkward, I had a look because that sounded too tinpot and that Bournemouth fan was actually quoting KentFoxSteve from our own pre-match thread. It's a tinpot comment about a tinpot comment about Bournemouth being tinpot.

Tinception, if you will.

I really rate Reid, but I think he wouldn't get in our side simply because of his style. I think he's a better footballer than Dyer but he doesn't have Dyer's pace which we utilise. He'd be wasted in our side.

Does any one really care what other people on opposistion forums state? FT can be just as bad some times, when we lose all sorts of stupid comments come out.

All i care about is Leicester and where we are on the table, let the other forums post uneducated tripe and lets let us worry about the table.

Incredible stuff and funny isn't it that they'd probably take the moral high ground if you contested that utter nonsense.

Their Premier League win in 1995 is the only argument, albeit a compelling one if we're saying that silverware is the main factor.

It's not unfair to say that our fanbase and linked attendances, home and away, dwarf theirs though.

Is it not true though? Play our passing game and we'll beat them hands down?

Does anyone disagree?

Posted

It wasn't a tinpot comment by any means, maybe it was exaggerated because we'd just beaten our record, therefore hype was running through my veins.

I still maintain the premise of the post though, when Derby were quoted as saying that 'if Leicester let us play our passing game we'll beat them', and using the presumption that Derby are better than Bournemouth, coupled with the fact that we're TOP OF THE LEAGUE BY 8 POINTS.

Yeah, somehow I think we'd do well if both sides adopted the passing game.

Is that wrong of me Bournemouth fans? I don't think so. Stop getting so uptight.

And I echo the sentiments of a poster previous in this thread; if you come onto an opposing board whilst they're flying, youll naturally find over inflated biased comments.

It happened with Southampton, they were the worst of them all and it carried them through.
