Literally every team who may challenge for promotion has nothing but praise for us and many (even forest) say we are a class above, are clear title winners and will probably run away with the league. Nick Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 Fantastic win - a real demonstration of intent. The boards suggest pretty much holistically that we are the team to beat. My hope is sky high as usual and my confidence is growing, I'm all for cheering and hoping but perhaps too long in the tooth to appear over confident as there is still 20 odd games to go and anything can happen - especially with a smallish squad when heads go down and injuries come in. I'm no boo boy pessimist, just tempered realism having seen LCFC fall from a height more than once in recent years!

It just shows they were not making excuses, just stating that fact. Now the other team fans are saying it also. Let's hope all our fans think and say the same. This team is excellent. The way they have been playing of late and in particular the game last night against a very good Derby, just makes it clear the difference in level we are in. I reckon based on last night game we could be a mid level Premier league team without a huge turnover of playing staff. That performance would of troubled many PL teams. Also that performance should not been seen as a one off. It does look good for the club in the future. Now let's get these contracts sorted!!
Yastafox Posted 11 January 2014 Posted 11 January 2014 So not used to being in this position as a city can. Very used to fearing the worst, bad referee calls. Pens not being awarded/given to opposing teams, collapsing in the final minute and giving away goals, other teams results not going our way! This season is just the opposite! Fantastic performance, keep this up and we'll be champions! So glad our owners stuck with Pearson when it would've been easy to get rid last season. This has got to be our year fingers crossed!!! COYB!!!!
