YEOVIL Town loansigning Zoumana Bakayogo has returned to Leicester City after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during the 2-0 win over Birmingham on Saturday (January 18).

He gets the opportunity of first team football and this happens. Gutted for the guy, all the best to his recovery.

Talking about bad luck. Getting loaned out, playing in your first competitive game in months and then getting sidelined for half a year.

Football can be cruel at times.

Speedy recovery, Zoumana.

Injured at yeovil, Welcome back Zoum lol

Zoumana Bakayogo: Leicester defender's Yeovil loan ended

Defender Zoumana Bakayogo has returned to parent club Leicester City after rupturing an anterior cruciate ligament during his loan debut for Yeovil.

The 27-year-old was taken off in the first half of Saturday's 2-0 win over Birmingham after appearing to catch his studs in the turf.

"Zoumana said he just felt his knee crumble under him.

"It was innocuous - he just turned and he felt it," Glovers manager Gary Johnson told the club website.

Bakayogo was replaced on 37 minutes by Jamie McAllister, who himself pulled up injured shortly after the break.

"We brought in Bakayogo for Liam Davis, who we left at home because he was injured. So there's maybe another little left-back hunt again in the next week or so," Johnson added.

Championship strugglers Yeovil have had a run of bad luck with injuries to loan players this season, after previously losing Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, Wigan midfielder Fraser Fyvie, Swindon striker Andy Williams and Bristol City defender Liam Fontaine."

Make debut at struggling side away from home, 2-0 up after 20mins, come off after 37mins. Return to parent club. Thats what you call making an immediate impact lol

Quite possibly our worst ever player.

Junior Lewis?

Either way. We've had far worse than Zoom.

How on earth can you say that when we've barely ever seen him play?! I'll put a few MUCH worse players to you:

STEF OAKES, GRAHAM FENTON, JUNIOR LEWIS, DEAN STURRIDGE, ALAN ROGERS, SCOTT GEMMILL, DANNY TIATTO, MARTIN KEOWN, MARTIN LAURSEN, TREVOR BENJAMIN, PAUL FITZPATRICK, COLIN GORDON, JOSH LOW, DION DUBLIN,

God, there's been SO many!

I think Martin Laursen is THE worst I've ever seen.

Oakes was alright. Sturridge was actually a decent striker. Tiatto was far from the worst.

Joe Hammill.... I think he got booed at Hillsborough. Without a doubt the most inept footballer I've seen in the top 2 divisions.

Edit to say Joe Hammill not Stuart...

Tiatto was awful. Just one of those players who put himself about a lot to make the fans like him. Terrible on the ball and a terrible defender.

I vaguely recall Hammil- which manager did he play for?

Terrible bad luck for Zoom, speedy recovery fella.

Some of those aren't even that bad. Quite a few did more good for us than Bakayogo has.

You should have just left it at 'How on earth can you say that when we've barely ever seen him play?!'.

Decent in his day. By the time we ended up with him he was bloody awful

Football is a game of opinions. In my opinion, all of those I've listed were crap.

I must be too young to remember Davies. Checked with my Dad though and he agreed; awful player.

Really bad luck for Bakayogo. Feel sorry for him, this move to Leicester has been a bit of a disaster for him.
