There's a lot of people getting way ahead of themselves

There'll be a mini wobble or two, much like the back-to-back defeats to Wednesday and Brighton at the start of December. As things stand, we have a six point cushion to second and a seven point cushion to third. I would be very, very surprised if that was still the case in May.

Agreed, some will get ahead of themselves and there is 60 points to play for. We have shown both quality and determination in the last two games which is crucial, we aren't some flair side who can't cope with physicality or a team of brutes who thump it long and bully teams, we mix it up very well.

People should relax and enjoy the current position.

I've just listened to Radio Leicester post match and I was shocked to hear Alan Young state that and I quote "We wont get beaten for the rest of the season".

Now we are in a splendid run of form and fortune that even allows us to pinch all 3 points from a match like today.

But I cant help feeling there is a growing number getting a little ahead of themselves.

Despite our run we could still only 4 points clear come this evening, and with 20 games still left to play this season if the players adopt the attitude that we are up or have the right to go up then we are for want of a better word..... ****ed.

I know Nigel is the most level headed of guys and he will certainly do his best to keep everyone grounded, but I would remind everyone at our position not so far off this time last season and what happened.

Yes there is cause to be positive but it has to be measured with a level of reality and commitment to continue the job in the same vein and not get carried away.

Just imagine what this forum would look like if we lost a few..... PANIC!

Lets just keep our expectations in perspective and our support for the team in focus to ensure we carry on in this same fine form.

Totally agree with this. We could have easily lost today, great goalkeeping by Kasper and we just about managed to stay strong enough. Yes, it is the sign of the good team that you can come away from games like today with a win. BUT could totally have gone against us, the longer the season goes on the bigger scalp we become to beat and teams will be more pumped up to get a result against us!

One game at a time! PLEASE!!!!

A Leeds fan I know assures me that was their best performance for quite a while

In someways this victory was more satisfying than the derby game

To be fair to them they had a good game plan and it work well for them and forced us into a few mistakes which could have cost us. Stop Knocky and Dyer getting involved too much in the game which nullified a big threat for us aswell.

All that matters is we've picked up the 3 pts, especially at time when it seemed time was running out and looked like it was going to end 0-0. Very satisfying indeed, my point was that it could have been so different had they took their chances. A bit like when we played QPR recently. Great that we're grinding them results out, but shows we need to keep our feet on the ground and not take it for granted like some people seem to be.

I'm not against anyone that's excited, or even confident that we can win any game because we should be approaching every game to win. But we shouldn't be cocky, last season should still be pretty fresh in the mind. Also we're Leicester City, we don't usually do things the easy way. I'm confident we can win every game, I'm confident we can get promoted. But I'm not taking it for granted.

Okay maybe saying we won't lose again is excessive, but what's wrong with this confidence? I for one am sure we are going to get promoted. If any other club were in our position I'd have no doubts they were going up, so why should it be different for my own team? I think we're the best team in the league and I am sure we will earn promotion.

I do agree, a lot are getting too carried away, and to be fair coming across not as over confident but arrogant, and if we read any other teams comments of their forum like some of the things being banded about on here, we would slate their arrogants.

It's great we are top, and winning easy and grinding out results, and for the record I think we will get promoted, but some comments like we are promoted now is disrespectful to the teams we still have to play, and the sort of attitude that I hope doesn't creep into the squad.

This sort of talk breeds complacent attitudes, which in turn could result in poor results.

I think be happy we are in a great position, and have a team who should fear nobody, and are going very well, and understand this is football and things can change very quickly, so enjoy it, it's a great time to be a city fan, but save the celebrations till we are mathematically promoted.

Ridiculous comment from Young. And just not needed at the moment.

5 points clear now that is approximately 2 games catch up for QPR provided we lose 2 games on the spin, which won't happen imo.

I am confident and so should everyone else yes we had so many heartbreaking moments to deal with but if you cannot be optimistic now you need shooting!

What is the biggest margin we have lost a game? 3 1¿ That alone gives me optism. Sure not go overboard but let.s saviour it while we can.

Surely footballers want to win every game don't they? I'm pretty sure complacency is one of those odd cliches/superstitions commentators and fans roll out just so they have something to say. Like bogey teams.

Complacency among fans is an even stranger concept.

I flit, I float, I fleetly flee,I fly....stay grounded you say.Why ???

Enjoy it while it lasts....If you hadnt noticed Cardiff are struggling, WHam, Crystal Palace, Hull,

are hanging on. IF we go up and have a great end of season, I want to enjoy the moment.

We are LCFC fans, we know and have experienced all the tears and fears. So what.!!! Lets brag ,

LETS DREAM, Lets be arrogant....I spit in the wind against adversity.

If we stumble at the end, .....we are the Leicester, and foxes and the Post Horn will gallop along.

Cheer in these last 20 games...as though we are already champions.Silenced and nervous murmers

are banned from the KP. Thats what being a real fan is about......belief, belief, with daring to believe.

Leicester are going through games where they should be dropping points and they aren't dropping them. There are stretches coming up where they should be favored to get big point returns. Look at March for instance.

I think the bookies are right, Leicester and QPR will almost certainly get the two automatic spots. After that I'd expect some entertaining playoffs between Forest, Reading, Brighton, etc.

That's not rose colored glasses, it's pretty much just the facts of the situation.

One game at a time. But we are in a very fortunate position that 11 wins or 33 points, from 20 games, should be enough. I know it depends on teams below us. I can see Burnley dropping away. QPR will probably keep up.

People shouldn't assume we're going up, but what I will say is that we look like quite a different side to last season. More grit, resilience, organisation, spirit, bottle, determination and quality. In other words, I cannot forsee a collapse like last season - but as people rightly say, this is Leicester City. Literally nothing will surprise me.

The stats and the current points haul, avg points per game etc etc would suggest that the figures give everyone the reason to get way ahead of themselves. I see nothing wrong in this.

I don't think we played badly today either. I think we just got caught up in a game and in a moment where the opposition looked to spoil the game, get in our faces and pretty much make it a non footballing experience.

Fact of the matter is, when quality was needed, it was utilised to the full.

One shot. One goal. One nil. We're going up imo.

For those who trot our stats or say why not get carried away I'll throw a couple of points out there for you to consider.

Nigel was Manager of the Month for January last season, we were in 2nd spot and looking like automatic promotion contenders. After that we went on a run of relegation form that was one of the most catastrophic I can remember. Whilst we are much better placed this season and have added valuable experience to our squad that should help a lot on the run in, if you gad about thinking we are going to piss this league then I think you are naive at best, and if the players adopt that attitude we are in deep trouble.

What scares me the most is having that attitude and the PANIC reaction that will come if we have a wobble.

I've been around this place long enough to realise there is no middle ground here. With all the back to back wins right now there is a proportion of our fans that think we are almost invincible. However a defeat or two later those same fans will be all over this place filled with doom in a blind panic that is as bigger an overreaction as the current one that suggests we will be unbeaten for the rest of the season.

What really matters is that our squad keeps grounded, even if some of our fans get wildly carried away.

But what that also means is IF we have a shit half or a shit match the wallys don't start booing or singling out one or two players for public ridicule.

We will need level heads to see out what we have started so brightly this season, not wild abandon to the extremes of overreaction.

I hope like all of you that we win every match and win this league by a country mile, but in the real world of the championship I am expecting something more challenging, and will keep as level head as I can and support our lads whatever comes next.
