Some of the Burnley fans dislike Nugent as much as some of our own :p

In all honesty I could imagine disliking him if he wasn't ours, he loves to play up.

I remember everyone crying when he scored the winner against us for Pompey in front of the Kop. All he did was cup his ears and laugh and people on here were seething.

Funny now he plays for us, of course :D.

13 in his last 13 League games isn't it? Think I heard that stat after yesterday's goal.

Some feat in this league, especially over Christmas etc.

"That's all a bit harsh.

But just to let you know.

We won't stop winning

I won't stop scoring

And am not going to stop smiling for you.

Ps enjoy nxt season in the championship lol lol"

Hahaha good work whoever that was lol

Looks like they may be a little wound up by the time we play them lol lol lol

Don't worry everyone. It's absolutely pure coincidence that since we went top So many supporters from so many different teams have decided to voice their dislike for us and our players....

They will he's ex PNE.

Think most of our haters have shut up now.

There's only a few that don't like him, most were saying he was underperforming and on that basis, probably should have been dropped. I can't really say I disagree with them. He hasn't been as good as we know he can be this season but he was back to his best against Derby.

He's slowly showing me he's not lost it completely, I won't be converted again after a few good performances in a year, I just wont be calling for him to be dropped as much!!

2 Fantastic seasons, 1 very poor season that he is turning back around!

Keep going nugget, fire us back into the prem and you'll have a new contract

re: My question, should Nugent

I think that we should let Leicester get promoted, after all it will give a massive club a chance to try and be the Champions of England for the first time.

Leicester City are the very definition of the word 'ordinary' as a football club, they're on a par with Coventry and Birmingham City.

I've only posted this post in the hope that I may get a mention on Foxestalk(ing b0llocks), as they look to be getting very damp pants with reading this thread. cool.gif"

HOW DARE THEY JUDGE US LIKE THAT!!! THEY DONT KNOW US!!! lol lol lol

We have more season ticket holders than their average attendance. In recent history they've been in the prem so obviously they're massive and should be sat at the top unbeaten.

They're a funny bunch oop North.

Anything just to detract from the fact that their motor is stuttering at the moment.

But if they want to, we could make an offer:

£15m and he's yours.

Jesus Christ, Burnley?!

We have this every year, the team that shouts the loudest often has the most insecurities about their league standing. -controversial but it's true.

Just get on with your season, Burnley fans. "Should Nugent have been on the pitch", that question shouldn't even be given the time of day, "Why didn't we beat Sheffield Wednesday?" Should be what they're asking themselves.

I've said it before, too many sides in this league want excuses and reasons for fvcking up, just get on with it quietly and 1) people don't think you're a whinging bunch of twats, and 2) getting on with it will probably constitute eventual success.

If it doesn't work out, go again, it's not like you've had 10 years of hurt or anything...

As for this 'big club' stuff that often pervades this board, yeah I do think we're quite 'big'. We've got a decent core of fans that travel well. We've got a better history than most, and that's not accolades driven. We're not top 4 by any stretch of the imagination but we have great facilities and a setup to be established in the Premier League.

The pundits do seem to hate us at times. But in 8 days we've shown the world why we are where we are with 2 very differing performances. One a brilliant annihilation and the other a ground out and possibly undeserved 3 points. You need to be capable of both those things to gain automatic promotion.

Steve you don't have to do this, Steve put the chair down

It's always some smallish poorly supported club who's spent a lot of time in the lower leagues. Blackpool, Bristol City, Watford, Burnley.
