Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Despite us being in the top 2/3 pretty much all season somehow Nigel hasn't won MOTM yet. However I can't imagine a situation where he wouldn't get it for January. Is there even any point in having 3 other potential candidates!?With regards to POTM surely Vardy will be in contention for this? He has looked good all season but this month he has really kicked on the goal scoring front as well as his general play. Only possible contender I can see is ALF who has scored 2 hat tricks since being recalled to the team. All in all, perfect January, on to February :pearson:
LCFC BEAST Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Wouldn't surprise me if Nugent was up for POTM with 4 goals and a few assists.
sylofox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 He will only be called a cheat and be told it is a fix by every other fan in the league.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 No competition, nearest competitor will be Karankar or whatever he's called Id rather us plod along under the radar however, but credit has to be given where it's due in this case Hope Vardy is at least nominated for POTM
Walker Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Austin will get POTM. MOTM is without doubt Pearson
foxfanazer Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Pearson and Vardy Pearson and Nugent Pearson and ALF
foxes_rule1978 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I believe we are the only side to win all league games in January, surely Pearson will get MOTM, he deserves it.

People start to notice.
indierich06 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 They'll probably give it to Adkins because Reading have had a couple of massive score lines this month. Fingers crossed. I'm pretty sure Pearson gives zero ****s about winning this FL tinpot award anyway.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Hopefully a n other will win it and keep the curse away

We're top of the league!
MC Prussian Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I wouldn't be too fussed about the monthly trophy. Given the current record, however, he must be a hot candidate for the Manager of the Season Award.
Dan Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 The January MOTM curse. Great. Biggest myth going. Pretty sure Brighton's manager won it the game before they played us. However I'm sure Steve McClaren did too...
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 People still coming out with the MOTM curse bollox
indierich06 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Biggest myth going. Pretty sure Brighton's manager won it the game before they played us. However I'm sure Steve McClaren did too... So from this, we can pretty much agree that the 'curse' is a load of shite and means nothing? Football fans are certainly a supersticious lot.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I'd guess Manager of Month nominations will be as follows: 1/ 2/ 3/
Banks Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Been told it is Pearson as Manager Of The Month and Adam Le Fondre as Player of the Month
gregsy Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 I'm sure Pearson's been nominated most if not every month so far!shows consistency !

I thought we was a favoured club....
Wink Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Personally I think manager of the month should go to Brian McDermott
Aus Fox Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 I can see it already going to Harry for services to transfer deadline day! With player of the month going To Ross McKormack for helping out with the fun..
