Todays Goal - Bournemouth

Just because you can see the whole line doesn't mean it's over. The side of the ball can still overhang the line.

Very hard to tell from that angle. Especially if it's not the final frame.

This exactly. If anything, I'd say this isn't fully over the line. From this angel NO GOAL. I'm sure there's a better angle that the lino saw that will confirm it as a goal though.

The people saying that the ball is definitely over the line from this angle are they types that annoy you when you're playing and claim a peno when a player is fouled on the halfway line.

I leaned the hard way at filbo in the Kop. I'd always go ape at Muzzy for not shooting from 8 yards at the family stand but MOTD replay showed him 40 yards out!

You see lots more that go over and aren't given than you see don't go over and are given. The linesman must have been certain it was the whole way over and judging by those images it looks like it probably was.

You don't really get the full effect with that photo. But the slowed down replay that SSN had clearly showed it over

My seat was literally right in line with the goal and I thought it was in. Let's be honest, if it was exactly the same but the other side of the post and a player had kept it in like Nuge did against Boro, we would all be saying that it didn't cross the line.

I fully appreciate what angle your trying to come at here but he actually did. Inside info you see... Should be okay for the next game though, as long as it's no longer than 15mins. Pure class

It is the first 'bounce' that crosses the line (6 seconds in). The spin sends it back 'out' on the second.

I thought at the time that it was never a goal as my view of the first bounce was obscured, but having got home and seen it I am more than convinced that it went in.

It's clearly over. You can see a sliver of green between the line and the ball. Camp played really well but he can't claim that. Phillips was hardly going to miss from 3 yards out with a header.

The linesman was really quick to give and the two nearest leicester players celebrate straight away. As for some of the Bournemouth players of goalcam you can see the two directly in front of the goal don't react instantly or put up much resists to the decision. It is only camp and the players on the left side of the box that react. Based on that it was probably more likely a goal than not. Replays prove this anyway.

From all the images presented in this thread I can't see how anyone can be sure it's over.  For me it's no more obviously over than the Boro incident which I firmly believe to have still been within the confines of the pitch.  Until conclusive evidence is provided I'm of a mind to think we got away with one here.

It's probably Leicester bias, but with neither picture being conclusive I do think that the ball looks more over the line in the Bournemouth one than the Boro game. There's a good picture on the Bournemouth forum which shows it looking more conclusive than anything we've got on here.

I'd say the whole of the ball was not over, if it is then our first goal against Boro should have been disallowed.

Having said that, the minimal reaction of the Cherry defender who slides the ball out suggests he thinks it was over.

For anyone who thinks it is clear cut, go and get a football, stand over a line and place the football so it is just touching the line. Then go and look at it from the camera angle, you will see that there looks like about 10cm of grass between line and ball, but the ball isn't over. There is no way anyone can be certain from those views but knowing what the whole of the ball over the whole of the line looks like, I think we got away with it.

There's been plenty of occasions when we've not had the rub of the green, so fook it, 3 points Thankyou very much!

I totally agree, i have seen some very bad decisions against leicester, its nice that they seem to be going our way this season.

Another image from a different angle, clearer but still hard to tell.

Bournemouth+v+Leicester+City+Sky+Bet+Cha

Looking at it you can't particularly complain massively if it's given. Then again still not as clear as a full side on view would be.
