cityfanlee23 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I heard you a fair bit today but can anyone explain the benefit of having 3 seperate singing sections? Surely it would be more beneficial to have everyone in one place, or at least two if it's the Kop and L1.To put it bluntly, L/K block has reached it's capacity and cannot grow anymore, and most of the fans in there are not dedicated enough and won't sing for 90 minutes or at all if we play poor...The kop have been quiet for years... This new section gives the loyal hardcore fans who are prepared to put their lungs out there for the team for 90 straight minutes... And with hardly any advertising we were loud and we hope the support from fans continue to help us grow. Just to note we got the kop going a few times too... This section is balanced financially compare to others, and has a magnificent potential to make the KP a very hard place to attend. All the good feedback you see and we were only at probably 1/10th of our capability in this area.
Mark_w Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I was in A1 and heard you nearly all game I was in A1 and barely heard them at all.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 L and K were diabolical today. That enabled us to hear SK1 a few times. Tempted to move for one game. My mate was there today. Says you were all told to sit down?
jmono84 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I've sat in sk2 for the whole season and today's atmosphere was much better I felt!! I'd be happy with that level of noise for the rest of the season, the boys at the back defo made a difference!!

Says you were all told to sit down? If you mean SK1 was told then no but two stewards came up to tell someone to stop banging the wall behind them. Noticed a few checking us out.

Says you were all told to sit down? Move with us mate every number counts... And no we didn't the stewards came up because someone banged on the sides... But they were absolutely fine with us laughing and joking about it and were not far from encouraging our efforts

Kitchandro Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 L and K were diabolical today. That enabled us to hear SK1 a few times. Tempted to move for one game. My mate was there today. Says you were all told to sit down? A steward did come over to talk to someone on the top row, no idea what it was about though. If they did want everyone to sit down they didn't make much effort. I thought today was a roaring success, if you'll excuse the pun. I really enjoyed myself, fair play to everyone involved. I actually got a genuine buzz from the atmosphere today, especially when the whole Kop joined in a couple of times, it was brilliant. It's just a shame the acoustics are so poor in our ground because anyone who was in the Kop I'm sure would say it was great. I know there isn't a trial game for about a month but I suggest we do exactly the same for the Blackpool game. Strike while the iron is hot, it proved popular not just with the people who turned up for it, but also other people in the Kop who were initially not involved. Really, really pleased and I hope it's the start of something.
Lionheart Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 The atmosphere was great up in SK1 today,I reckon it will grow from here. Fair play to the club,we were not told to sit down once, the stewards came up once to ask a lad to stop banging on the back panels.

But they were absolutely fine with us laughing and joking about it and were not far from encouraging our efforts id consider moving for one game depending on what the lads I go with thought. For what its worth I think its right and correct that L and K are crticised when necessary. We were nowhere near our best today. We were loud on occasions as Bert says but as I pointed out to my mates, man for man sk1 were streets ahead of us today and probably will be 9 times out of 10. If you lot on here from Sk1 shame the none singers from L and K, of which there are many, then good.

In my opinion we should just say sod the non singers and encourage the 90 minute singers to join us... Come over for a game mate promise you won't regret it was the best home game I've been too in a very very very long while

I just consider myself one of the l block singers. If everyone like me did the same L block would become like the west stand.
Stadt Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Because there was quite a few of you with scarves it looked fantastic, hopefully there's a few more of you in the other trial games. Is it too soon for flags?
TheLeftSide Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I think the fact there was no drum today had an impact, where was it?
cityfanlee23 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 You've already tried shaming L and K today! Make your mind up. Honestly mate wasn't trying to make it a "our block is better than your block" comment, It was a genuine, what happened over there as it was almost silent! Slight criticism I agree but not intended to be malicious to people in that section Because there was quite a few of you with scarves it looked fantastic, hopefully there's a few more of you in the other trial games. Is it too soon for flags? It's being organised already
Hugo Sanchez Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Sk1 were really good today and had the real singers in. L1 are shite these days, they stand but don't sing, unless they have a drum. L1 full of people who don't wanna sing but look hard in front of the away fans. Honestly most of L1 just watch the away fans instead of the game. Why Sk1 is for people who wanna actually get behind the team and it has major potential.

DennisNedry Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL. Splitting the vocal fans around the ground is BAD for atmosphere!

If everyone like me did the same L block would become like the west stand. I've spent most of time at our ground in K block, and tbh I wouldn't be bothered if I never went in there again, if we could get a large portion of the Kop singing. It would be nice to have 2 great singing sections but it's unlikely ever to happen.
CPW22 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I really enjoyed today, I was surrounded by 50-70 people that wanted to get behind their team and who care about the future atmosphere at our club. I am usually in JTT mainly down to price but would 100% move full time if we can keep this up. Big shout out to a lad in white Henry Lloyd polo just in front of me and a lad in a long sleeve home shirt behind me, both got quite a few songs going.
cityfanlee23 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Are you a spokesperson of Filbo Spirit? Hopefully not. Nope, just have a strong passion in supporting the team and was part of the initial idea
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I think the fact there was no drum today had an impact, where was it?The drum was set up and ready to go. There was just noone there to play it I agree it didnt help l and k but I'd much rather it get worse before it gets better without the drum rather than keep the thing. Maybe the ones who dont sing without the drumwill then get bored and make way for some of the new SK1 lot into the area.

Not sure on the lad in the white shirt I said well done to him after the match, but the long sleeve home top behind you was me
Lobsterboyuk Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Magnificent effort today lads, well done, was stuck in P1 as a one off and was surprised to hear you so loudly at times, good stuff
