Babylon Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 A cult legend can be anybody? Bruno Berner, Yuki Abe and Sol Bamba have all been cult legend in recent years. The label cult legend doesn't have to necessarily the best, just popular and appealing (which Lee Jobber is). 'We may be able to develop our own atmosphere' guranteed you won't take it upon yourself to make a difference like he has. Don't 100% love the drum myself but atm there's no better options Yes there is, let it happen naturally.
Renart Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Never seen anyone talk about themselves so much! This is supposed to be a collective effort is it not? The post mentioned how WE (You know, The group) looked tired and people were complaining about it around me saying they had headaches.. Which was answering the post regarding Sk1 stopping on around 70 mins I mentioned I had the same problem... Your efforts to stir problems on here would be best served by actually joining us and making that effort. However I doubt it will come to frame, You're the only person in 13 pages that has mentioned it. Go away please or change subject. Boring Bert, Boring. Haha. It wasn't just from that one post.... Well I actually prefer the view from where I sit as well as being surrounded by my mates and in a block that is also quite vocal at times. If you read the thread you'll see that I've been supportive of what the group are trying to do as well. No efforts to stir trouble on my part, if anything you did so with your comment about L&K being silent. Can't handle the truth can you Lee! Lee, did you not let Bert touch your willy either....? He seems rather angry at you. Or was it because you also made him wear a dress? Bert, to be fair he does like to talk about himself but if you were as cool as Lee wouldn't you? I try to be a little more like him everyday.
broughtonblue Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 My observations for what they are worth! I thought this would turn out to be a damp squid! But I was wrong. I sit in C1. Thought you lot in sk1 were very good today, especially for a first time. Normally only hear L on a regular basis but they were very poor today, was it the lack of drum or the lack of away fans? SK3 were the loudest I've heard them this season, purely coincidence? I don't think so, the fact that there was another group to interact with, in my opinion helped generate the best atmosphere in the kop for many a month. (Lcfc chant bears this out, very good) Well done to you all, although I have to agree the confetti looked a bit poor. What was the age range amongst you all? Would a nearly 50 bloke look out of place? If not I might join in the future! Congratulations

Be lucky If I could find it myself He wore the dress off his own accord...
Renart Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Shall we shake & agree on observationally-negative? Whatever we agree on ASS is feeling PUMPED tonight!!! Has TBJS paid you a visit?

Bert Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 From where we stood they were? Am I not allowed to say that?? Somebody mentioned they couldn't hear us at all.. nobody cried? Well I'm not going to say that in this case because it seems you are actually asking for my opinion... Because today as a case example... The drum goes, The atmosphere goes in that section, The atmosphere in L/K DOES rely on the drum, If we play poor, It's silent, And when the drum stops, It's silent, If we are going to be the "12th man" as fans, We need to either do it properly or not at all.. The drum has been successful in "Creating" and atmosphere, but it also ruined the atmosphere and general mentality of the fans, Almost alienated that they cannot produce a noise without it. Which IMO is bad news. Away fans come to us and regularly outsing L/K (It's where I always sat until today) Away fans don't have a drum? If the fans cant make some noise without it, Personally I'd say its a bit embarrassing.. Yes on it's day its good, But only when we are winning... when we go down (Which is not normal nowadays!) No matter how much that drum goes people sit with their arms folded... This has all been expressed by jobber himself, Who said at the meeting he would prefer not to have to be the only source of noise, He would like to use the drum to keep the songs going... Not start and finish them... Let the fans in L/K get used to not using it. I think pretty much everyone in there will say that it relies on the drum, no debate there. What I was getting at was that comment came across as "if there's no drum L&K will be quiet so SK1 will be better". There was an atmosphere in L today as already stated and backed up in this thread too. So your "case example" is pretty poor. Apart from the "bigger games" L&K was no worse than any other standard game (so to speak) this season.

Was just pointing it out that's all and purely meant a bit tongue in cheek but obviously it wasn't took that way, I don't think!

Apart from the "bigger games" L&K was no worse than any other standard game (so to speak) this season. I just think the mentality in L/K is wrong which is obvious when the drum is not there, Or not being used much by jobber, nothing happens until he starts drumming, the second he stops, the song dies off.. The fans In SK1 are a credit to the fanbase IMO, There were times today where songs were getting quieter and dying out and others would rally back and get it going again, The LCFC song is a good example it went on a fair while, Thats fair enough if there was an atmosphere in L today, but nobody in SK1 could hear it, and plenty have said it was dire.. Which is why changes needed to be made.. and I think if the drum comes back it will just be the same story.. I know it's unlikely, but what if the club ban the drum? then what?? I've stood in L/K for many a year and been shocked by how poor our fans have been if we have gone a goal down or lost (Which until recently was something that was a regularity in our seasons)

I always come across on here as quite blunt, but I don't take any of it to heart.. Ask anyone on here who has spoken to me/met me, I'm sure they will say I'm quite decent (I hope) Forums are for debate

Especially if we're going up next season and with the big away followings we'll see here.
Renart Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Was just pointing it out that's all and purely meant a bit tongue in cheek but obviously it wasn't took that way, I don't think! I saw it that way but I do enjoy it when you two fight!

No doubt mate, I didn't think it would ever be likely, But i just feel that since the drum has started to be the focal point of the section, it's lost its spine.. There is not backbone there to get anything going and keep it going when the drum stops, It's a great shame, Just hope that TOGETHER, WE can get something special going on in SK1 I saw it that way but I do enjoy it when you two fight! He loves me really
AndWhat? Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Where were your seats mate would I have seen you?? I was pretty much where the stewards came up Pretty much on the front row of standers, just singing all game! Right infront of the guy in the white polo.
LCFC FOX Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I've had a season ticket on the top row of SK2, moved to L block because the atmosphere of the KOP was dying. After a couple of seasons in L block I seen a few standers in N block and thought that could take off. So me and my mate joined them. This is my second season at the top of N block. I spent 2 seasons in L block before and can say they are both the same. Just L block have more numbers but N block want to sing new chants more. Today I moved over to SK1 and its fair to say that was the best home support yet. Next season I may make the move over if other people do.
Buce Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I thought this would turn out to be a damp squid! Aren't squids always damp..?

And too old at 50 for SK1? I was in there today, and I'm over 60. I'm knackered now mind.
cityfanlee23 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Pretty much on the front row of standers, just singing all game! Right infront of the guy in the white polo. Fair enough I wouldn't of seen you as they were all standing too Was a proud moment to be part of a group of Leicester fans so dedicated. It was a complete success IMO and it will spread
FoxInTheBox89 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Yeah where was jobber? I heard the crazy corner singing loads btw especially the "woooahhhh Wasalowski" song. I was in family stand

Unabomber Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Jobber mistook his gut for his Bass drum and is in hospital with a hernia, if my sources are legit.
cityfanlee23 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Haha. Was just about to say - love hate haha. HAHA you Cnut Jobber mistook his gut for his Bass drum and is in hospital with a hernia, if my sources are legit. Brilliant haha
FoxInTheBox89 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 By the way start of the second half SK1 were well loud heard them all the way over other end well done lads
Munshi Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Atmosphere in L and K today was shocking really, noone seemed like they were up for it and all the chants just seemed to stop without Jobber. Fairplay to those in SK1, heard you quite a few times and tried singing the same thing but a new chant was just started everytime.
