LCFC FOX Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 I'm guessing you are in N block and wouldn't fancy moving? Good luck doing it next season in that block. They will not be scared to remove you all. It will not be hard for the club to find people who will sit next season if they make the premier league.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 I don't know what you're facepalming at. If, as expected, the club clamps down on N block next season this has always been suggested as it's natural replacement. It's the fans in that block that will need somewhere to go when Barclay has his way. I'm guessing you are in N block and wouldn't fancy moving? Good luck doing it next season in that block. I'd just hate to see this taking people away from areas that are already decent. At the moment we already have an area of L/K that sings, N Block and pockets of people in 'The Kop'. If this unites people already in 'The Kop' and creates an area that people can move to if/when N is closed then great. But if it takes people away from areas that are already decent it only serves to weaken those areas.... One great area is better than the sum of three average areas. The one great area will never be in SK1 because a) you can't stand and b) it's miles away from the away end.
JonnyBoy Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 another real ale day for me starting at 9 in the morning so i will get my ticket in SK1 and will be in full voice. You guys going to be near the top?

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 This is a fair post, but we would like to make clear that we are not trying to break up L1. As you say in your final paragraph we are simply trying to unite the pockets across the remainder of the Stadium. As for the queries regarding where we are specifically targeting, this diagram may help. The intention is to fill the yellow area at first (well on the way), moving right as you look at the below through the purple and pink areas until you join up with the singers already positioned from around 210. We understand that this is not going to happen overnight and getting such a number for the game against Charlton is potentially an unrealistic target, however as we move towards the end of the season and into next we feel as though occupying this entire area is achievable. Worth noting that the vast majority of this area is currently empty so there is plenty of room for people to move into. Very good idea, I hope it takes off Will be trying to join you guys re the Charlton game if poss
ian_marshall Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I'm a STH in the pink zone and a regular singer but have a wedding to go to the day of the Charlton game. I'm gutted I'm that I'll miss out. Is this likely to reoccur later in the season?
AndWhat? Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 my working weekend Call in sick you ****ing hipster.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Call in sick you ****ing hipster. That was uncalled for.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Numbers look to be shaping up well for this. Got my ticket right in the thick of the yellow

Is this likely to reoccur later in the season? I'm hoping we reach a stage one time when it happens every home game in every season. I think if this goes well then we're laughing - didn't expect the numbers to be this high and I think there's a pretty common mentality that we won't give up easily.
lestajigs Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 No. I'm in L Block. I'd just hate to see this taking people away from areas that are already decent. The one great area will never be in SK1 because a) you can't stand and b) it's miles away from the away end. All of l block and most of k are season ticket holders anyway. So cannot see anyone changing a season ticket to go in sk1, got nothing against sk1 but people who won't the best atomsphere are always gonna go in l or k or j3, even some games it might be a bit quite, it has and probably will always be the best place in the ground, I've never once sat in the kop and thought it to be a better atmosphere in there then l or k j3,
Dan Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 But L & K simply won't grow any more and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thinks that they aren't what they were. The ground is absolutely terribly planned in terms of atmosphere. Don't see the fascination of being right next to 400 Barnsley fans either. If they're not bringing enough for us to hear them at all then are they really worth having a pop at?
BrummieFOX Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Yea, there's no need to be right next to away fans to make a good atmosphere. Leeds' and Man Utd's (as well as loads of others main ends) are opposite the away fans.

Leeds' and Man Utd's (as well as loads of others main ends) are opposite the away fans. Liverpool and Everton too. Besides, it's not like we respond positively when a loud away following comes to town. L and K usually just give up.
C-man Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Liverpool and Everton too. Besides, it's not like we respond positively when a loud away following comes to town. L and K usually just give up. Yep. Pretty much every main home end in Europe is at the other end to the away fans. Doesn't seem to stop them either!
LCFC FOX Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Birmingham and Charlton's are too. I would love to see a whole KOP standing at the KP. I know that's a little too far but maybe in the future ay?

Leeds' and Man Utd's (as well as loads of others main ends) are opposite the away fans. A lot consider a good atmosphere goading the away fans for 90 minutes. Some simply won't move away from by the away fans even if both L & N aren't ideal. Birmingham and Charlton's are too. I would love to see a whole KOP standing at the KP. I know that's a little too far but maybe in the future ay? The Kop doesn't even stand at corners. No chance without safe standing.

1964FOX Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 So are nn 32 to 34 in/near the Zone? Bloody hope so Yes, I am nn 29 and about 15 of us sing every match anyway.
1964FOX Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Several of us are meeting in the Highcross pub for breakfast at 10am and then moving on to a few more pubs en route to the ground. Anyone who wants to lubricate their vocal chords and maybe have a practice song or two on the way is very welcome.
Weller in Tights Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I should think we'd need that whole end to be fitted with rail seats for that to happen. This will happen, it may still be a few years away but the momentum has started. I even heard some official from Villa supporting the idea of a safe standing area. When this happens (when not if), we all need to make this area the singing area. It also needs to be unreserved.

The whole end? Do you really think so? This is a Kop that doesn't even stand when we have a corner at that end. I don't see it ever being 100% standing. Maybe the bottom half one day (a long way away) but never the whole end.
