Dan Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Did anyone notice the other night at forest how the fans that were above us to the right picked up immediately on what their A Block was singing? They were loud as fcuk the other night. This SK1 business needs to happen and needs to be the link from L to the Kop. I hope you get the club onside for this. I agree. I can't stand the ***** but they were the noisiest home fans I've been to this season, quite considerably as well.
CPW22 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Any update on 'official' numbers for this? I drink in the The Pub on New Walk now and then so will plan to pop over to the Kings Head.
steveherbe Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I'm on row mm from 32 onwards. I'll be with a couple of non city fans but never mind. Not sure about the pub beforehand though as I'm finishing work at 6 that morning before driving up a little later! Behave yourself then mate, we are NN 32 to 34, directly behind you. See you there!
1964FOX Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Who were the lads at the back of SK1 today, they did a good job of trying to get people singing, they sang virtually throughout the game, fair play to the one in the black Harrington jacket with the dodgy moustache trying to get everyone going.reckon if they keep it up every time it will build. We are always there, about 15 of us and the moustache man is Craney, top lad and always up for singing. I was happy our lot kept it going yesterday but was disappointed at the lack of involvement form others as SK1 was very full yesterday but I suppose a lot were cheap ticket places as there were a few offers available. Looking forward to next week and night try to point us lot in the direction of the pub mentioned.
LCFC FOX Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I agree. I can't stand the ***** but they were the noisiest home fans I've been to this season, quite considerably as well. to be fair that already happens at the KP. Two singing sections either side of the away fans
Soup Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 to be fair that already happens at the KP. Two singing sections either side of the away fans But at times on Wednesday night the forest fans were deafening. We don't get that from N and L.
LCFC FOX Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 But at times on Wednesday night the forest fans were deafening. We don't get that from N and L. Yeah I agree, It's a shame though. I also bet the forest board don't put a crappy "mixed" section to try and stop the atmosphere
Soup Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Yeah I agree, It's a shame though. I also bet the forest board don't put a crappy "mixed" section to try and stop the atmosphere That was shit I agree, even more reason for people to come over to us for Charlton,as there doing it again.
Lionheart Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I'm there Saturday, just been down and got my ticket for the top area of SK1,let's get this going. COYB
Dan Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I do think Forest's ground layout is bound to make their fans sound loud. The Trent End is no better than our Kop and it isn't like A Block or that block on the upper tier are overly big. Mixed sections are a truly horrific idea.
C-man Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Any update on 'official' numbers for this? I drink in the The Pub on New Walk now and then so will plan to pop over to the Kings Head. Looks about 70-75 on the LCFC Direct seat map but could of course be a few non-'activists' in that section.
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Come on lads! Let's get some more faces up there, spread the word! Does anyone have any suggestions of a pub to meet up at first? Normally go to the Local hero, then to the match, Is there a better pub that anyone would reccomend meeting at? I'm not a big drinker so Don't know the leicester pubs that well! The Local hero seems perfect IMO, Close to the ground and a good home fan pub
BrummieFOX Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Would say the Counting House is a better pub. More likely to get a few chants going in there. I always think that's key - you can often predict what the atmosphere inside the ground is going to be like by how the pub is before the game. If the pubs are busy and people are up for singing then it often translates into the ground - if we can get 50-100 people singing in the pub pre-game and then all walking to the ground together, you're on to a winner! 75ish is a great number to begin with too, hopefully a few more from SK1 will move over before the game (that's what I'm doing).

Morning all, Hope we've all recovered from Wednesday's drama and are looking forward to today's game. Be nice to repeat last season's scoreline in this one! Anyway, to Charlton. Those of you who are coming would be more than welcome to join us in the King's Head just off New Walk from 11:30 onwards. We're also likely to pay a flying visit to the Swan and Rushes on Infirmary Square as the day progresses, but will of course keep you posted. Hopefully we can all get those vocal chords lubricated ahead of us cheering City onto another three points.
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Not fancy this suggestion then? Ahh didnt see it! Yeah sounds good! Will be good to have a laugh with you all before the game!
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Got mine . Cant wait for this. Hope its not an anti climax Get the word out matey
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 If everyone on twitter could RT this, that would be grand. Leicester City âš½ â€@LCFC_1884 8m Singing Section in @SK1_LCFC pic.twitter.com/XdXhRZMxZT
Harry - LCFC Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Really excited for this. As a STH at the top of SK1 I feel rather lucky that the atmosphere party happens to be coming my way!
AndWhat? Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Really excited for this. As a STH at the top of SK1 I feel rather lucky that the atmosphere party happens to be coming my way! There seems to be quite a lot of people saying the same thing. Hopefully this is the kick up the bum some in the kop need! Haven't looked forward to a home game as much is quite a while.
steveherbe Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Just warming up... "We're so loud its unbelievable", "Shit fans L1, L1 shit fans", "The kop is back, the kop is back, hello, hello", "We're the best side, we're the best side, we're the best side over here". Some potential there I think, I especially like the first one.
KIRBYFOX93 Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Good luck to you guys il be shouting whilst eating my prawn sandwiches
Stadt Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 I doubt it's even possible but would the drum be better placed in the kop? I think the drum works well starting chants and 'banter' with the away fans doesn't really need it so maybe that'd help.
Dan Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Please no anti-L1 songs. Now that would be embarrassing. Disappointed by some of the reaction I've seen on Twitter so far (word's getting around). A few seem almost embarrassed by it?

A few seem almost embarrassed by it? That's bizarre if true. Why would anyone be embarrassed by a few trying to get things going. Now the Man city game was embarrassing, never felt so empty at a game.

Disappointed by some of the reaction I've seen on Twitter so far (word's getting around). A few seem almost embarrassed by it? Yeah I seen that, find it a bit stupid myself, I'm a STH in K1 and this seems like just the right thing to get the atmosphere going around the whole stadium, if we can get it to carry on,on a larger scale then it might even tempt a few (like myself) to relocate to SK1 for the upcoming seasons. Seems like its the minority opposing it though.
