QPR at home.. also a promotion decider?

Pretty sure this fixture marks the exact date we were promoted to the Premier League last time as well.

It could well be beat them to go up.

That game was at home to Brighton and it's worth noting we also have that exact fixture in April this season again.

We also have Reading away - would be quite fitting to go up there seeing as they did it here a few years back.

I wonder what game is mathematically the earliest we could clinch it....

I can see us making hard work of it but doing it.

We are currently 11 points ahead of third but assuming QPR win their game in hand that is 8 point.

8 points and over can be gained from three matches so if we maintain this lead we are looking at a two match cushion which would be we would gain promotion in the third from last match which is away at Bolton.

Some QPR fans on their forum reckon they will struggle to even make the players, they're not a happy bunch at the moment

I assume you meant playoffs. That's extraordinary pessimism considering they've been up around the automatic spots all season

Yes playoffs sorry lol

They're worried about the lack chances they're creating and they've started leaking goals

I suppose that's why 'Arry wants R.Morrison ... just to had to his 674 midfielders and 215 strikers at the club?

674 midfielders? Did they get rid of some then? lol

QPR have looked woeful in most games I've seen them play, and at Derby on Monday they created nothing at all. Derby were dismissed (and comfortably) by most members of the top 6 they've played this season but QPR made them look like world beaters.

No Austin to score from the limited half chances they create and they are looking dodgy. I assume they'll still be right in there for 2nd (maybe 1st) come May but I know for a fact if we'd played like they did at Derby in any of our recent games we'd have fans pondering whether to sack Nigel or sell Nugent or buy 12 new players etc.

The heavy pitches are my main worry, as I have said before. This was when we screwed up last season.

I think we will find things much tougher now, but the points we are ahead by will hopefully see us through.

Let us pray.

Sat 19th April.. We'll be on 86pts... Yes win against Arry's Boys and that's 89pts... PROMOTION!!!

I'm coming up from Cornwall for this one so that would be bleddy ansome. :D

I am wondering if the reliance QPR have on 'experience' will backfire on them, Green and Dunne are both 34 and Clint Hill 35, plus numerous others in their early 30's. Reading at the weekend is a huge game for them, if they don't win they will seriously be in danger of fading away.
