Ian Stringer Q+A

You may have heard recently that Jamie Vardy is having a party that pushes the boundaries of legality. If you had to invite any of your interviewees to a party, who would it be and why?

Have indeed heard the song, trying our best not to air it as you lot sing it for legal reasons (evening boss) - I'd invite Jamie Vardy of course, Nigel as away from the mic he's a scream, superb sense of humour. Craig Shakespeare, Anthony and Michael Lamey of course for his barnet

Why do Drinkwater and Dyer hardly get interviewed? Would love to hear from them more.

Lloyd doesn't speak to the press and Danny the same. Well apart from when Sky Sports put a camera in his face post match, Might try that myself actually *cups ears*

Have you upset any players.......Danny Drinkwater, Lloyd Dyer???

Oh yes

Has GTF got the mardys? Also could you put a word in at the club about the fans wanting a friendly with Anderlecht? (home and away)

Oh and do you have the clip of Norwich away when the fans sung "There's only one Ian Stringer" loved that lol

GTF is fine. I'll suggest the Anderlecht friendly and as for the Norwich thing, I might have sent my Dad a clip yeh :-) LOVED THAT

Very kind and I am getting round to the next pages but I'm desperate to know in Harpenden you are? In Billys I'd imagine :-p

My answer is earlier in the thread mate. I live near the golf course. I've enjoyed far too many burgers in Billy's over the years, can't deny it!

How did you get involved with BBC Radio Leicester Ian?

Applied for the job when John Barber left, had been working at  BBC Three Counties Radio for 4 years, reporting for 3 (Wycombe and MK Dons) and got it on merit, yay

Apart from Liam, who would you say is the most passionate about Leicester? I always thought Dyer loved it here.

As you sit away from the City fans....

What away game was the loudest we've been?

What is the best ground (KP aside) to commentate at?

Hi Andy King's Crown Jewels,

Loudest has to be Forest last season, or Norwich in the FA Cup. Best ground? I love Craven Cottage, proper ground. The Allianz Arena in Germany is quite nice though

Trying to remember when you first joined BBC Leicester.

Were you working for MK Dons when Gradel scored THAT goal?

You seem a good man, not as good as Nige but still a good man.

Does Knockaert live in Leicester or France?

Also do you think my sig is a fair representation of what he would be doing if he wasn't being a footballer for the mighty lcfc?

Anthony would certainly be walking around anywhere with a smile on his face looking too cool, whatever job.

Not sure where he lives

Which play-off semi-final loss hurt more, Cardiff or Watford?

Watford

Since working on radio leicester have you ever felt intimidated when you've broadcasted at an away game?

Never. It's my job. If LCFC are playing well and we call it so then tough

No, he was commentating for us then. I seem to remember 'give that boy a biscuit' if I remember correctly? Was quite an epic (And I never use that word) bit of commentating.

I'm sorry but I don't know how long you have been working for Radio Leicester but where does this current squad rank in terms of your favourite lcfc squad?

I've been at Radio Leicester since 2008 so my first season covering the club was League One. This is certainly the best squad since my time working here. EVER? No, those Prem years had a great squad

Would you and Alan be willing to start the pitch invasion on our promotion party?

To be honest I'd be one of the first on there given we'd try and get instant reaction. As for Alan, he'd use his helicopter to go straight to the after match party, with Jamie Vardy of course
