Defensive midfielder available on a free this summer: Esteban Cambiasso?

lol

That would be an absolutely remarkable signing.

Joleon Lescott (FREE AGENT) in the summer.

He was so poor against us in the cup I remember thinking God help us if we had to take him to the World Cup! Seen him once since on tv and he was still gash. We're better off keeping the one's we've got imo.

Looked good against Chelsea the other day.

Somebody said we should get a new CB because Morgan is too slow and then suggested John Terry.

John Terry, ffs.

Konchesky would get hammered in the Premier. Cresswell sounds like a ready made signing for us really if we go up and I'm lead to believe there's something in it too.

Some of shouts in here are ridiculous. Lambert, Anita and James Morrison aren't coming here.

I suppose the big difference we'll see if we go up is the pulling power we, even as a newly promoted club, have from the rest of Europe. I reckon players from even clubs like Lyon and Marseille would be tempted here - as much as I don't agree with the motives.

Best post in the thread, any first team player already playing in the top flight is unrealistic.

Forster

Cresswell

Senderos

Gardner

Zaha (loan)

Guidetti

Rhodes

That will do me

Senderos!?! Decent season for Arsenal 7 years back and now he's Was without the cunning. SGE would have leapt on him, and that's enough for him to jog on. Forster if we lose Kasper, but can't see either being happy as Logan's understudy. Rhodes must be temptable now after a while at Blackburn achieving nowt.

Not sure about midfield. James and DD seem so good together, and not sure whether they'd fade without the other. If we brought in a solid DCM, I think we might end up with King as the best of the three, and maybe regain his goal scoring touch (or, maybe better still, Mahrez/A.N.Other on RW and Knocky in the hole...)

There's no need for dramatic changes. Fair play, we'll need a few additions but I'd like to see how players like Liam Moore get on.

Look at teams such as Swansea and, more recently, Hull, both didn't buy too many players just the odd. Compare to Queens Park Rangers, for example, didn't they sign about 15 players? I think adding to our solid foundation is key, not totally splitting it and rebuilding again.

Swansea signed 14 players - 11 permanent 3 loan.

Hull have signed 12 players - 9 permanent and 3 on loan.

lol

Yeah for 150k PW lol

OK, Cambiasso, Its a long shot, but consider this: He is 33 and unlikely to be touched by the champions league clubs, certainly not in England, or the "major" european leagues like Bundesliga, La Liga.

He has said already that if in Italy, he wants to play for Inter, and thats it. The Inter owner has said he must take a massive paycut to do that and play for £2 mil a year.

£2 mil a year is approximately £38,000 a week. Thats not THAT horrific a wage. We could offer that deal, we could TOP that deal.

The guy still has a good engine and obvious quality. Free transfer.

Test the water i say

This without a shadow of a doubt. Build on the team spirit and momentum. A team wins games. Not 11 brilliant individuals. As QPR are about to find out. ...again! Ok they also dont have 11 brilliant individuals but each one thinks they are.

wouldn't want to disrupt out quality young squad so id say we could get away with 3 hungry near world class players.

striker to finish everything.

attacking midfielder to create all sorts.

leftback/defender .

take the word world class lightly lol i just mean someone whos really got what it takes to fire in the premiership.

Is that serious?

We won't get him, he's an unrealistic shout considering he'd attract most PL teams, but he would be a significant improvement for us. He isn't rubbish.

I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't a couple of additions from Ligue 1. No idea who but it seems a market that Nige & co are interested in exploiting as it represents far better value than the English market.

Worth mentioning the enormous 50% tax comes into play soon. Exodus from France unless you play for PSG or Monaco.

Anyway I reckon:-

Philip Lahm

Max Ginter

Jese

Vidic

A lot of Hull's were loans into permanents. That Swansea figure surprises me as their core in first season was largely the same.
