Thefoxman Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 If we were to make the premier league what are people's thoughts on transfers? will the owners buy big etc. Imo we will stick with our current squad but with maybe 2 additions...then by Christmas if not going well we may buy to try and stay in the league.
Banks Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 No we need some signings in the summer. Left back, centre back, a left winger and a a quality striker. That's if we do go up.
LCFC FOX Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Goalkeeper LB CB CB LW CM ST ST I think we will need
Brainy Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Agreed. You don't see many teams go up and sell everybody who got them there. They all deserve a shot at it and I think quite a few will be able to make the step up.
Fox92 Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 There's no need for dramatic changes. Fair play, we'll need a few additions but I'd like to see how players like Liam Moore get on. Look at teams such as Swansea and, more recently, Hull, both didn't buy too many players just the odd. Compare to Queens Park Rangers, for example, didn't they sign about 15 players? I think adding to our solid foundation is key, not totally splitting it and rebuilding again.
Thefoxman Posted 16 February 2014 Author Posted 16 February 2014 imagine if Sven was still in charge! this summer would have been a very busy one!
foxfanazer Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Left back and both wings would be priority imo
Fox92 Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 imagine is Sven was still in charge! this summer would have been a very busy one! Planning to try and reach the top 6 at last.
Soar Fox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Danny Ings (if burnley don't go up) Craig Dawson/ Steven Caulker Kyle Naughton Lewis Holtby
Foxhateram Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Wouldn't want to see an overhaul really. Think we will need a bit of premier league experience within the ranks but I don't feel we would need wholesale changes. A spine of a prem experienced def, mid, st. Would do for me. I think knocky, Lloyd and Mahrez deserve a crack of the whip on the wings. Who would you get otherwise for the wing? Pace and skill is even more effective in the prem than in the champ. Def - Really don't know who would be willing to join? Someone who will be looking to move from a higher club for first team football. Hibbert? Riise? Mid - someone like Albrighton, Delph, Jenas ( Been there and done it), Huddlestone, Downing, Cattermole, Spearing?, Davies? St - No idea

St - No idea I just don't know how effective AS A WINGER Knockaert would be in the prem. I see his future role with us a bit more central imo.Wouldn't mind us looking at someone like Anthony Pilkington from Norwich Centre mid for me would be Mark Noble. Honest, battling midfielder with bags of prem experience. Proper NP signing. Striker. ......... Demba Ba? Maybe unrealistic Getting Naughton back would be good also. Has experience of playing both LB and RB
Stadt Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 2 strikers, can't see our current partnership scoring enough.
Ian W LCFC Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Mark Noble would be amazing, but I doubt it would happen. I think he will move to a better club, perhaps top 10 standard. He's class.
Danno Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Hibbert and Riise? . Maybe if we're trying to beat Derby's record.
Thefoxman Posted 16 February 2014 Author Posted 16 February 2014 I think a big physical striker e.g someone like anichebe would fantastic! Anichebe & vardy = right handfull
Stadt Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 I'd try and tempt Senad Lulic from tinpot Lazio.
ScouseFox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Just hope we sign more youngsters who want to prove themselves like the squad we currently have and don't go down the route of signing old Premier League players who were half decent 10 years ago but will command a big wage and won't really care if they play, let alone how well they play.

Happy Fox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Cleverly/Osman Cresswell Thorgan Hazard (loan) Rickie Lambert

With Pearson in charge there's no chance that would happen.
Richkel5 Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 I would be happy with 5/6 signings. If kasper stays we will need a good 2nd choice keeper, if he goes then frasier foster would be an ideal replacement I'd like a left back and centre back to come in. CB needs prem experience, a leader, someone whos been there and done it. Centre mid and maybe a winger. Mark noble yes please but highly doubt it! 2 strikers!!!! Just don't think ours will cut it sorry say. We r gonna need goals to stay up.
ScouseFox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 With Pearson in charge there's no chance that would happen. I hope not. Despite what I said a bit of prem experience wouldn't go a miss, gonna be a hard job working out who could bring something to our team though. Currently I think I'm right in saying of our usual first XI only Konchesky and Nugent have any real Prem experience? I'd quite like to give the whole current XI and subs a chance to go at it in the Prem, I think the likes of Vardy, Knocky, Mahrez etc would be fearless and take it to whoever they play. Tough job for anyone going up these days though, you don't get much of a chance to prove yourself, lose more than you win/draw from your first 10 games and you're more than likely on your way as a manager and being dropped as a player.
sylofox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Agreed. You don't see many teams go up and sell everybody who got them there. They all deserve a shot at it and I think quite a few will be able to make the step up. Only if they are deemed good enough. They will be paid well for this season pick up win bonuses and one for promotion and hopefully a medal. Next season is a whole new ball game and loyalty to players that may have got us up may not keep us up. No one deserves anything next season the club comes first.
