brisfox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I was thinking today about times I have met famous people/ footballers. A few years ago I was living in California and nearly crashed into Enimem. He was driving a yellow Lamborgini in Hollywood and I pulled out in front of him and nearly hit him. Knew it was him from the number plate, MNM. Also ran into Max Gradel at the King Power, he was driving the most knackered Renault Clio I have ever seen including a bent coat hanger for an antenna. Anybody else got an amusing tale
lavrentis Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Saw SSL down Narborough Road. Unusual or not, not sure.

elangLCFC Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Saw Knockaert in town the day after the Forest match last season and got a photo with him. Wasn't weird but it was a pretty good time to see him after he'd just scored that goal.
MikeyT Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Bumped into Gareth McCauley at Twycross Zoo. That is all.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Wes Morgan and Liam Moore in a service station bogs about two hours after the Watford away playoff last season. Bumped into Mancini, Platt and Kidd in the centre of Manchester too.
Fox92 Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Met Rui Costa (Milan, Benfica, Portugal etc) on a beach in Portugal in 2000. Didn't really know who it was at the time, I was only 8, but my dad got his autograph and a photo. Used to go to this Sports Shop in Portugal quite often, and the people that worked there said Raul, Zidane and Figo were in here literally five minutes ago. Would love to have seen them.
lancyclaret Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Sat next to Jackie Charlton on a train from Birmingham to Edinburgh - too in awe to chat as he was reading a book. I got off at Leeds, don't know when he got off. Also when I was working in London, I sat near Dave Sexton on the underground train when he was Chelsea manager When I lived in Sutton Coldfield, Andy Gray came up to me in the main high street and asked me "Can you tell me where is the Job Centre (or its equivalent)?" - he had just signed for Villa from Dundee United. Villa had houses for young professionals in the Erdington area of Brum and he was living there.

Fifties Blue Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Shook hands with the hand that made "that save", Gordon Banks when he had some connection to a second hand car dealership I bought a car from in the 70s/80s Does Romeo Challenger (Showaddywaddy) count? Think he played in the same youth team as Peter Shilton. I nearly killed him when he ran in front of my car in Lee Circle.
